Des Plaines man accused of trying to lure girls to his car

Pervert! Unfortunately when a child gets kidnapped, molested, or murdered, the public always seems to wonder how could we let this happen. These acts performed by the subject precede the more heinous crimes. As the article points out, this is not a first time offender. He plead down to a lesser charge in 2004, when he should have been labeled a sex offender or sexual predator then, thus requiring him to register as such. If he was punished to the fullest extent of the law the first time, these offenses he is now charged with would carry a more severe penalty. One has to wonder what other offenses this pervert has committed that have gone by without consequence. Lock him up, lose the key!

Jeff- what happened to you that made you do this? You used to be a fairly normal kid? How could you do this to another person? I feel horrible for the little girls who had their innocence distroyed and I also pity you becuase something made you want to do this or think this was okay.

I am the dad of the 4 year old girl jeffy tried to molest in 04' I tried to get the des plaines police department to charge him with something but they said his story sounded "credible". So luckily for me I convinced the journal to run the story Just to see if I heard from someone. A month later I was contacted by a gentleman from a nearby suburb who went through the same thing in his town. His four year olds story wasnt credible because of her age. So says Glenview police. But because he showed in court with us Jewitts attorney pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct.... To say the least... He must be stopped before he ruins someone for life ....Or has he already!!!
