Adult store's opening draws concern

No one can do anything about it? Yes, the neighbors can-- just make is SO uncomfortable for them that they eventually WANT to move out.

I have to laugh,about stories about these so called "adult stores".There is a lot of them in Milford,and the people there are very vocal in their opposition.Yet SOMEONE is patronizing these places,because they are not all closing for lack of business.These businesses are thriving because people are buying their wares.As long as kids don't have access to this stuff,I don't have a problem with it.Not my cup of tea,but I think adults have the right to buy it if they want

You know what? If you don't like those kinds of stores, DON'T GO THERE. Last time I checked, this was still a free country, and you're free to start your own business, and you're also free to NOT patronize a business if you don't like it. Everyone needs to get over their self-righteous bs and get on with their lives.

Who cares just don't go in. It's not like they allow minors to shop there. It's not like someone is outside solicting buyers and offering samples. Live and let live. Who cares if the Cleaners is near the adult store. If you know you didn't go in there then be satisfied that you didn't. Live and let live.

Then I guess most of you would be ok to have a brothel right next to your house since "kids are not allowed in." You wouldn't mind that right?

I believe there are only (2) adult stores in Milford,(anyone correct me if I'm wrong) not sure I would consider that a lot. Bridgeport has many, many more

There are 3, actually, but who's counting? Oh yeah, the self-righteous people who think everyone should be like them. And yes, anonymous, I know this because I actually live in Milford, not because I frequent them. People should spend less time getting uptight over things they have no control over. You can't control what other people do, only how you react to it. And getting your shorts in a knot over things you can't control is a waste of time and energy. Better to spend your time focusing on the things in your life you CAN change, than the things you can't.

Actually, I think Milford has a lot more porno stores than Bridgeport. I'm not against them, but they certainly don't improve the atmosphere of the town.

I think its a perfect location right next to the cleaners. You can bring your sheets in to get some stains out then go right next door to refill on lube and other accessories.

Derby is building and becoming the historical town and restoring it's beauty, this is not good.The church is right across the street..common people, let's get that out of here.

Hell yeah! At 72 I've got nothing to lose, A young prostitute is better than my 68yo wife.

If I'm lucky maybe they would give me freebees in exchange for doing their yard work and house maintenance.

I doubt that I will be so lucky, but there are a couple of houses for sale in my neighborhood, so I'll keep my fingers crossed.
