Could you answer this? Do people on welfare attend casinos on a regular basis? If they do, is there a way to pass a law that would identify these people and when they apply for a card at the casino, there application is immediately turned down. If they want to go to the casino, then get a job and gamble their money and not money they get to feed themselves or the kids.
It's money Storm and they'll never turn any of it down. Did you ever see anyone with food stamps refused steak lobster or dog food.

For someone so important, you sure spend alot of time and effort writing long winded posts on the Morning Call website.

He likes to read about himself. This guy is an expert on everything ... just ask him; he'll tell you. I'll bet there are a lot of mirrors in his house. I'd like to know what he (allegedly) finances so that I can boycott whatever it is.

Would not surprise me that the Sands is holding the State hostage regarding additional construction based upon table games.

Also not surprised to hear that deal is already cooked with Table games approved by yearend.

The camel stuck its nose in the tent back when slots was approved in the middle of the night---They must think that people are stupid and would buy into slots only story.

Lisa Boscola will be a factor in pushing thru table games for her friends across the river and in city hall. Wonder if she is enjoying the free drinks at the Sands?

I agree, since we have been 'bailing out' minorities who don't seem to want to work and are on welfare, maybe we should limit their lives as to where they can spend money. THat means if you are on welfare (or now they call is Disability), you shoudl not be allowed to buy things like Lobster Tail, Cruises, and gambling.

In fact, everyone who earns a paycheck from our state or federal government and sits at home as full time baby makers should have to work 10 hours a week for each baby they have on welfare. Maybe that will stop them from reproducing and therefore reduce the amount of taxes the rest of us have to pay.

either that or build a wall around downtown allentown and let them all do whatever they want in there.

Agreed. As for the new babies. It should apply to both mothers (baby makers) and fathers (sperm donors). If the father is unknown, the mother bears the full burden to work. If known, hours could be split between them. Get their lazy butts out there to do something to earn their keep.

Entertain me!

Give me more free money

Casinos house nothing but a group of bored and greedy and disgusting people waiting to be entertained, collect free money, look at each other, etc. How boring

Casinos execs want want more money and benes and benefits
Retirees want to go somewhere, anywhere
Counties want a phony destructive tax base
Construction comp[anies want to keep building
Politicians want more accolades and power
Locals want a job...any job

I'll stay home and read a good book

I won't be getting the swine flu from the slot machines or decks of cards

Casinos are buildings filled with humans filled with lost souls searching for a dream

Casinos are said to be money printing businesses
They will always stay ahead and fools will always lose.

The article the other day about the opening was sad. The piture they put in they put in there of the people waiting to open...no one was under 65! how many of them live on a fixed income and complain when the school taxes go up? i am 39 years old and I have never gone to a casino. i have no desire to waste that money. If they are retired and bored, go volunteer somewhere...non-profits are so understaffed in the valley. They would get many more rewards from doing that then gambling.
Don't tell those of us that are over 65 what to do. We have paid our dues. At 39 what is your claim to fame? I'll find my "rewards" where I want, not where you think I should "shuffle" off to.
