For those that use the road the information is very important. You, sir, are an idiot.

Why is it going to take two to three months? And are they going to actually fix the road correctly this time?

Dear miss wacko, I was merely pointing out the LACK of useful information in this report.

Is name calling a sign of some larger problem?

It was closed from about November to I think either Jan or Feb.

Grandview Road in Penn Township will be closed east of Kids Kingdom to Windsor Court for two to three months because of road construction related to a new housing development.

The road is being widened and water and storm sewer utilities are being installed.

Visitors can still access Kids Kingdom from Beck Mill Road or Westminster Avenue.

----------

They have what they are doing. Where it is taking place. How long they are doing it for. Why they are doing the work. They have information about public access for a key location affected by the work.

Wow, Frank. Your definition of useful detail is ... well ... less than useful.

I would've liked more detail on the housing development that is making the construction necessary. Is it the new development behind the church or some other development I don't know about.

Yes FRank -- we are all Wacko in these parts for the mere fact that they had the part from Westminster Road to Beck Mill closed for along time when they put in the last development, then they had Grandview Close from Beck Mill close most of last winter and they did not work on it much and then they had Beck Mill Close for God knows how long. Now they have it close again. The useful information is coming from this blog letting the township know they need to get their act together.
Maryland does not allow builders to close road for start up of developments. I know that as fact. I spoke to developer from MD over the weekend that said this would not be allowed.

I'm sure the Penn Township supervisors/commissioners view this forum (not a blog) all the time just to see what highly intelligent people such as yourself think.

This article is only useful if it actually is true. Everyone knows Penn Township. I don't believe that it will only take 2 to 3 months!! What is sad is that people make decisions to close roads when they don't have to travel on them. Try making a left at Clover Lane onto 94. You have to detour further down a few more places to hit a traffic light. Unless you want to go the other direction and try to drive down the pitiful excuse for a road "Fairview Drive". Oh, don't get me started on the extra expense for gas and to have my car realigned!!! Oh, but that is another township's problem.

As for me I am highly intelligent and many people that post on here are. I always want to know more the negatives, than the positives. If I was in an elected position I would read then to correct issues. As for most politicans -- national, state or local I would guess they take your view.
