Give this guy whatever he has coming, regardless of his age & health. I'm sure his age & health were no problem when he was ripping off PA taxpayers. If he was so innocent then why was this fiasco put off and put off? Time & tide wait for no man. His arrogance (running up restaurant tabs for the taxpayer to pay)and his "no one can touch me" attitude finally caught up to him. He deserves no leniency.

You're still paying for Vinnie and his lawyers. There is too much money involved to send him to jail.

The architect of Gaming ? He never did anything without spending "other peoples money" and bragged about it.

Wait till you see the millions he spent of state money and the lenient sentence he will get from one of the Pa judges.

The Federal Prosecutors are not done. From my friends in Washington who work there, it is in the pipeline, but is still being held up by Holder. They don't want it to extend up to Rendell while he is in office. They are stalling until late 2010 if possible. They are hoping the state level idictments will alleviate pressure of a sitting Democratic President having to go after their former national fundraiser Rendell.
As a Democratic Party member, I commend this letter to the editor and opinion because it succintly shows what is fundamentally wrong with this state. The corruption is so ingrained that it structurally exists via organization, caucuses, judges, etc. that it will continue to take major Federal corruption prosecution to put enough scare in Harrsiburg legislature to change the rule sets by which they govern.
It is an uphill battle, but an election is coming and the best way is to vote out those who vote for pay increases, have ties to Fumo, DeNaples, Mellow, Eachus, DeWeese, McCall, TJ Rooney, Jennifer Mann, Lisa Boscola, Don Cunningham, John Callahan and Rendell or are on the short list for prosecution.
This has to come to an end and emergence of a new Democratic Party that is back in the ideals of the middle working class.

Daily Horoscope for January 6

Libra

Don't hold anything in, especially an emotional burden. The only way to drown the past is to open the floodgates. If you've got something to say, come right out and say it. The only people who might be offended by your honesty don't really matter in the grand scheme of things anyway, Libra. Great changes flow smoothly through your day. When you take charge, everyone feels at home.
