well i went to lake region animal hospital in windham maine for the first and last time,i brought my cat for a check up and i feel that dr giffin mistreated my cat.he wouldnt even let me go when he got his shot????????? i have had several animals and NEVER had to stay in another room when they got care, unless it was surgery .then when i was leaving and got my rabies certificate,it said my name was "over the counter" that my cat was a dog and thet his name was "any pet" what kind of place do they think they are running, not professional that i do know for a fact and if i have anything to say about it he will loose his license .what did he do to my cat in the back room,my pet has not been the same ,i will never know, please dont take a chance with your animal, not if you love it.

As a vet tech I know of a few reasons your pet may have been taken to the back... If the owner is highly nervous the cat can pick up on this, not to say you were because from what else you wrote I would tend to believe my second theory... The vet may have had one of the techs give the shot had he been involved in a surgery and stamped the certificate... I do not know... nor do I live in Maine, but as I am thinking of relocating I will definately not apply there.

I know of a veterinarian at Taylor brook animal hospital that abuses animals. His staff has seen him euthanize animals, thrown them down a flight of stairs, or drag a dead dog down thumping his head on the stairs. He smacks animals when they do not cooperate and he has thrown cats against walls and into cages. He is very rough and abusive. I'd stay clear of him.

Daily Horoscope for December 25

Aries

You've got a taste for adventure today, so you might decide to depart from tradition in some way and make it an unusual Christmas. You're certainly all set for a great time, and you'll want everyone else to enjoy themselves as much as possible. You'll probably eat and drink too much but, hey, it's Christmas! Isn't such excess par for the course?
