Well there goes Cobo's re-election

It was down right disturbing to hear that Carter and Cobos share the same law enforcement philosophy. Is that a true statement?.
Hopefully the things that Carter has been quoted as saying on you tube about some of the deputies will be addressed and set right. The paper said''Personal management and a meeting of the minds''. That says a lot.

Well just when we thought we got rid of the buddy system and the good ole boy system.... This happens? I was so happy that we FINALLY had gotten rid of Ed Gilmore and Vinson and all those other corrupt people and now this happens. DEMING WILL NEVER CHANGE. Am I the only person that remembers when Carters son ran his vehicle into a officer who is no longer with us and nothing happened? Congrats Carter I'm sure you can cover up and sweep many things under carpets. Just like the good old days. Oh yeah if you wanna be liked in your new position maybe try taking a peoples skills class especially when dealing with Hispanic's that we all know you love so much. Just ask Nacho and many others that have worked for you.

This is more of a reason NOT to re elect Cobos for his possition as sheriff!! HE favors his people!! Why didnt he give it to someone closer to retire or are they still going to be a sargent or something like that! I stated my point that This just proves IT pays to $uck up!! Election is coming up agin people Vote NO lets get some different people with no ties in this area!!

BIRDS OF A FEATHER FLOCK TOGETHER! Carter is the rudest person EVER I encountered in many years of working. Never would I tolerate an individual (on duty, yet) talk to me like Carter did.....and later I heard that is often his treatment of the Public.
Cobos and Carter violated ethical procedures when they both showed up--in full uniforms--at a Columbus Town hall meeting during the last election campaign and were introduced by the mayor as..."The Democratic candidate for Sheriff Cobos and his Campaign Manager Allen Carter".....to a crowd attending a Water Rate increase Forum. Totally unethical!

We, the voters are not going to tolerate that kind of behavior from now on!

Who is running against Sheriff Cobos in the upcoming election? I guess hiring your campaign manager for the under sheriff position is one way to assure he helps you out in the next election.
I do know what Carter said about the deputies on u-tube is a disgrace and should not be considered OK.
If this is a ''meeting of the minds'' and an acceptable way for the men in this department to communicate publicly then they do not have my vote.

Carter is a great officer! He will treat you like you treat him, which is pretty fair. He loves his job and the community. And as far as being racist that's not true at all!we know of plenty of "Hispanics" that he is very close to. And as far as the "accident" with his son everything was done legal and mrs. French didn't even want charges pressed, so ok he made a mistake that cost a great man his life, I'm sure his son regrets it so don't tell me you haven't made stupid mistakes or accidently ran a stop sign. I'm sure you have but thank God you didn't kill anybody! His boy is now serving Our country in Iraq and I believe that includes you!

I am sure you believe your post is helping or defending Mr Carter. Your statements of ''he will treat you like you treat him'' and playing the ''We all make stupid mistakes'' and ''everything with his son was done legal'' card makes one wonder if you are his friend or enemy. So if every one treats Mr Carter with respect they will be treated with respect? Why would any one suggest the matter with his son was not legal? Why are you throwing in racism? I now wonder if this is the right man for the job.

What was Cobos thinking? Carter is one of the most rudest self serving man. He has no people skills and once he knows someone is of no value to his career he treats them with disrespect. His affairs will now come out of the woodwork and lets see how proud he is of that. Poor choice Cobos.
