SunRail studies who might hop aboard commuter train

Once they come up with an answer, SunRail contractors are going to do everything they can to talk potential passengers out of their cars and onto the train when it starts rolling sometime in 2014.

Hilton Head Orange City, FL	Reply » \| Report Abuse \| Judge it! \| #1 Apr 15, 2012 Does it make any sense to drive your car to a train station,(knowing Florida they will probably charge you to park your car for the day), pay to take a train to the closest station to your workplace, pay to take a cab or bus to get you closer to your workplace, walk the rest of the way to work in near 100 degree weather, then do the same thing in reverse to get back home? For those of you who this appeals to and have been in favor of sunrail from the beginning, thank you in advance for getting off of I-4 to make my commute less congested and sweat free.

No it doesn't make any sense but since when to politicans make any sense. It's ridiculous to even think that most will take the train then a bus or cab or bike to their job that could be some distance away. It will just make communting more diffficult and time consuming and expensive. I'm not going to do it. Those that try it will get tired of it soon enough.

I-95 , not much better ... even the toll roads are dangerous these days ... It might be very relaxing to get on a train and relax to get close to where you work .... or to the town where you would like to shop etc ... I think it just might be a "GO " ...
