Why is it the innocent person is always the one killed, but the person who caused the 'accident" has minor injuries?

People need to start doing time in jail when they kill someone with their vehicles.

My condolences to the victims family. So the 68 yr. old dude in the brand new truck rear ends the young man. It's usually the other way around when the young guy rear ends the old man. It seems the old man was driving his new toy way too fast.

I think the driver at fault will do time, but I believe the reason the young man died was his failure to use his seatbelt, unfortunatly. He probably would of gotten a whiplash.

Yes, I agree with you. There was a lady in Apopka two years ago who was just seconds from turning into the school where she was an elementary teacher. This guy comes flying around the corner, loses control, slams into her and kills her. She was married with three children. From what I can gather, the young man who was going too fast to negotiate the curve never did time.

Failure to wear a seatbelt, ESPECIALLY on the highway, is just plain dumb. Karma caught up with the young man unfortunately.

The young dead guy is taking more hits than the 68 year old who rear ended him, causing the incident.

Ok, he wasn't wearing a seat belt, I'm a huge fan of them, but he was rear ended, and he wouldn't be dead if he had not been.

No, the 68 year old dude in the brand new Toyota Avalon hit the young dude in the 1995 truck.

either the pickup was going very slow or the toyota was going very fast. hard to figure how the pickup would overturn. in any event, the moron was not wearing a seatbelt so too bad!
Wow, nice words. I'm sure you'd be saying the same if this were your brother, your son, your friend?

Sorry Earl .. Karma has nothing to do with it .. the young man left behind a beautiful new wife and a young son he was a hard worker and a great father
so tell me why he would deserve this?..

Perhaps he didn't deserve this, but a little bit of prevention like ""CLICK" would have helped.

Agree that karma played no role in this tragedy__but, seat belts save lives and particularly in rollovers. Why wouldn't someone use their seat belt, c'mon it's right there and takes what, two seconds?

Perhaps the guy in the car was on the cell phone, speeding or half asleep, if this guy was wearing his seat belt he would probably be nursing some cuts and bruises, instead he's dead.

It may have, or it may not have… the truth is you don’t really know if wearing his seat belt would have actually saved him. The point is that he is gone now, and what good does it do anyone to come here and say anything about HIM or his character? EVERYONE knows that it is safer to drive with a seatbelt. That doesn’t mean that HE was any less of a person. The people mourning him do not need to hear over and over again that he should have been wearing a seat belt, THEY KNOW. A better choice of words might be a bit more appropriate considering the circumstances. As said above, he left behind a new wife, and an adorable little boy and neither of them or their family should have to read these idiotic comments in their time of grief.

Do you guys have nothing else to do but sit on here and talk bad about other people. Well the Young Man, Brad, who was killed happened to be one of my closest friends. Have some respect. You talk about Karma, I hope Karma doesn't pay you a visit.

The young man that was killed was a new husband and father. It is very tragic what happened and I would encourage anyone to refrain from using terms such as "plain dumb" if they feel so incredibly inclined to comment. Please remember who may be reading this. Yes, a seatbelt is certainly a good idea but you nor I have any reason to think it would have undoubtedly changed the outcome of this incident. My prayers are with the family at this difficult time.

Does that even make any sense? Really? Please, keep those small-minded comments to yourself. You only expose yourself as a moron to the rest of the world.

Isn't that the truth. They are all over the young man who was minding his own business when the other guy hit him from behind. Why the nasty comments about the deceased young man instead of calling for the older guy to do some jail time. He turned his truck into a lethal weapon whether the other guy was wearing a seat belt or not.

My condolences to the family. Is there a trust fund set up somewhere for his wife and new baby? It just breaks my heart to see things like this.

A Toyota Avalon is not a truck but a full sized automobile, also the legal system will tidy this mess up, that's how we roll, seat belts or not.
