They can find ways to put the money in their pocket. They pay the people in the school system a lot of extra money, but the school system is way below avg. This is a family run county and they need a lot of help.

This, much like many problems we have out here in the county can be attributed to a single factor: incompetent county officials. The "good ol' boy" system has put too many inept people in positions of power. This on of the reason we are looked upon as idots in the South.

I had always wondered where Hollywood got such foolish ideas about the south until I came to De Kalb County Al. and bought a farm, then wandered around much of the state finding it was the same everywhere I went.
Full of ignorant people who enjoy waving at everyone like a monkey in a zoo,and when you open their cage and ask for help they give you those monkey eyes like who the hell are you!?
The roads such as they are in this and many counties of Alabama are pitiful ,I've traveled into central America, south America, the islands, why even Mexico, and Canada and no place lets their roads go to hell as well as Alabama.
Thank God I still have my home in Atlanta.
