I can assure you it was neither. Please don't post comments like that when you have no idea who the victims are. It's irresponsible to assume such things, and in this case you are very wrong. Roger wrote: Delmar is drug infested so was it METH or Crack? The parents play possum in this town!

Delmar is not drug infested number one...and just because you like meth alongside your crack doesn't mean that's how this was started. And for your information my family knows who this victim was and your rude comments have no business being placed here when a 15 year old boy has been so severely injured. Maybe someone you know should go get injured in an explosion so that I can be the first one to comment about how much they deserved it. why don't you go learn how to NOT be a heartless douchebag.

Not sure if you live here but i have for all of the life i have spent in the US. Delmar is drug infested yea... its hard to meet anyone that hasnt smoked their portion of herb... and some have done the occasional mdma or psychedelic but as far as hard drugs like amphetemines and coke go.... they are nearly completely absent.

I agree with Roger. There is so much drug activity in Delmar, and the parents, schools and police look the other way. I don't think Roger said the boy deserved it, so don't be so quick to criticize someone else's comment. Also if you think drug activity in pretty little Delmar is void of hard drugs - you are living in a fantasy world.

I dont want anyone to be in pain, esp burns; if this was not drug making id be happy. ....peace, bro, but the kids here are drug infested with heroin, coke, mushrooms and of course, higrade-hi strenth marijuana, a hallucinogen, then like to use daily

for your information it wasn't drug related at all...you know what they say about assuming things and in this case it certainly does make you look like an ass. and my brother knows the burned kid's sister and so I'm sure I've heard a lot more facts about this incident than you ever could and drugs weren't mentioned once so get your head out of your ass. And of course we realize here that drugs are around...look at the heroin bust that happened like a year ago. but that was an adult and this was a child and if that's not reason enough to keep your rude comments to yourself the I don't know what is.

roger, it was terrible of you to say that the explosion was caused by drug making. I know the girl whose house it was, and she lost everything she owned, as did the rest of her family. I dont know if you were trying to be funny or what, but your comment was insensitive and cruel.

Roger... I've lived in town over 25 years... Bold of you to say about the drugs. A few people have been arrested for possession charges and whatnot, but certainly not to the extent of what you believe. And if you think that Delmar is unlike any other small town suburb, you'd be mistaken. Drugs are everywhere, I'm not saying they aren't here. But they are a part of life in this culture whether you wish to accept that or not. To blame a house fire and explosion on a 15 yr old kid making meth? Shame on you man. Have a little compassion in this case. And instead of jumping to conclusions being the only exercise you get, take a walk around town, down to the 4-Corners. You may see some kids skate boarding or hanging out by the coffee shop after school, but that doesn't mean they are trying to sell you some crack.

Now we hear it may have been rocket fuel he was working on , not drugs..well see what the chemists say...where were the parents?

you all need to stop running your mouth. you dont know anything. so what if some kids are smoking dope. at least they arent being crack heads. and ive lived in delmar my whole life and ive never seen coke, crack or meth. EVER. never in my lifetime have i seen any of these hard core drugs. there is a little boy who is severely burned and still in the burn unit. you should not be making assumptions. you dont know what happened or even the family at that matter. the family is going though enough problems right now, worring about there son in the hospital and worring about what there going to wear. the family lost everything right around the holidays. please respect them and stop making it worse for them.

I know the ten very well and it wasnt his fault what happened. It was his older brothers. Don't blame him for his brothers stupidity. And none of them where on drugs or anything, it was rocket fuel and chemicals he mixed together.

the house that burned down was my great-grandmother's and she died a couple months before the house burned down so no one should be making critical comments to the kid who was injured! he's a nice kid.
