Marijuana would not affect your ability to do job, especially if you work at food city. Pills and other drugs are a different story.

People will fuss and whine if you're on welfare and using drugs... and they'll fuss and whine if you're working a regular job and using drugs...

When will people realize it's not their decision what people do with their lives? It's called "live and let live", and if more people in this world lived by those words, there wouldn't be as much BS to deal with.

Oh yea I agree. You can't please people and everyone should mind their own business.

But how can someone work effectively (without endangering themselves or others, and do the job right) and continue using drugs, whether it be weed, pills, etc.?

Honey, it catches up with you sooner or later. A drug addict/user is not aware how they come across to people and think they are fooling people and getting by with it.

They can fool people for so long a time, but ultimately it catches up with them. Your family, friends and co-workers are not fooled. They know. So don't think its possible to live and work and do drugs.There is no such thing as "functioning drug addict" You're only fooling yourself..........
Didn't mean to make this a sermon, but I know. I've worked with some and even got a few in the family. They have no clue they slurr their speech, eyes look glassy, etc.It's really sad.

Live and let live? Lol. You obviously have never hired anyone to do a job. Whether or not someone is a drug user impacts their motivation, their attendance, whether they can get along and interact with other employees, and basically every aspect of the job you are paying them to
do In the long run. Employers should know whether this employee is committed to a job or just looking for one months pill money before they are hired. Drug tests give you an idea of this. Granted some folks will only be recreational users but sometimes habits get worse. An employer should be able to assume the worst about a potential employee before he/ she is hired and the employer must spend money on their training.

Marijuana flowers are beautiful. They have all kinds of colors in them, and little crystals in the sunlight. God made it for humans to eat, and smoke.
