The reason I never, and I mean never, ride Votran is because the routes and schedule are so limited. It is not designed to get anyone to work, especially in the NSB/Edgewater/Oak Hill area, and now would not get a single grocery shopper to a store in NSB without calling first.

You can't get there from here and even if you could, you couldn't get back.

Why doesn't Votran use smaller cheaper vehicles in the smaller markets? I see these smaller buses at airports and major metropolitan areas all over the country. But not here. It's all or nothing it seems. I don't know the difference in price between a 16 passenger commuter van and one of these behemoths Votran insists on using but I'm willing to bet it would be enough to save the existing routes and maybe even add one early -- before 6:30am -- northbound route.

How can it be that anyone working in Daytona and living in NSB and points south cannot possibly get to work before 9am or so?
