There are two health departments in Long Beach. One city run and the other County. One Councilperson claims that the City run Health Department has mostly homeless people as thier paitents. I doubt that, but it makes one wonder how this department is a draw for service users from other areas. If services for residents are to be cut for fire, police, librays, etc, this City Health Department that services anyone that "walks in the door'' needs to provide for only LB Residents with identification.
