I mean come the fuck on. I sadly can say that I spent time in that house, it was a disaster. Christina OR Erik did NOT attend school. EITHER one of them was more than capeable of getting a job, but did nothing to help the family. And Connie was addicted to roxies.

So all of her money from working "two jobs" (another lie, I think just about EVERYTHING you said was a lie, excpet the fact that you live in NY) Went right onto tinfoil.

You said that Amy had four types of cancer? I know of two, but I very well could be wrong on that part. I know as well that she was perscribed roxies, but I also know that she was not susposed to be taking FOURTEEN daily. She would finish her perscription in two weeks on average. Regardless of her medical conditions tho, that does not give her the right to abuse her child. I persoanlly saw bruises on Christina, as for the others I cannot say.

Though to be honest, Christina probally did not have time to secure employment, she had to baby sit the child all the time, so that is understandable. As I said earlier tho, Erik did jack shit but just make the others life harder, which is saying something.

Where WAS the dad? No legal action was taken in order to get child support? I mean it cannot be that hard to get a faternity test done and have him court ordered to stop being a deadbeat. Or did she not know the dad? I dunno, I doubt there is too many who would sleep with her ><.

But the fact that you people would put a fucking two year old into a DUCT TAPED FUCKING CRIB is absolutely appalling. I mean come on, that is like me taking my little cousin into the mall and saying "Alright meet me back here in two hours." You just don't do it.

The fact that the family would rather spend money on there addictions, speaking of that.... I swear, inside that house was a fucking chimney. That CAN NOT have been good for Serenity. Oh, also I can't forget "tea time" That was Connie's faveorite part of the day I bet.

She would take Serinity into the room, which was a pig sty, to say the least. You could not see the floor at all, and I could see plates and food that i know to have been left there for weeks if not longer. If the house were to have been inspected by DCF, Renni was gone.

Back to "tea time", she would take Renni into her room and, because I suppose she thought she was slick or something and thought nobody knew, and I might add did NOTHING to prevent, smoke Roxies. At least Amy would have Renni taken out of the room always if people were going to smoke. But Connie deliberately did this. It's disgusting.

Oh, also.... the house was a damn crackhouse. People coming in and out constantly to buy and trade/sell drugs. People would use all the time there, it was a regurlar crack house basically.

It's just amazing that you try to even defend yourselves, when you guys should be facing criminal charges. The only reason you are not is because you are fucking lucky enough to have recieved a crib that was recalled. Other wise you would be in jail, where you belong, for charges of child neglect. I hope that you have these feelings in you conscious for the rest of your life. Knowing that you could have done somehting to prevent your childs death but just sat there with tinfoil under your nose lighting up that Roxie. I have probally said it four times by now.. But FUCKING DUCT TAPE ONA BABY'S CRIB?!?!? ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS?

Well, I suppose the past can not be undone, but I guess I needed to get this out one time or another.

And it's kind of a joke how you guys think that Christina, who was 17 just like Connie, being pregnant will magically make things better. It won't. Renni is still dead, and it's still Connie's fault. All that is going to happen is that your family is going to ruin another innocent child's life. You deserve death.

Well as you can see from previous posters I took off to NY so I had no idea what was going on. All I know is what I was told.

Serenity didn’t die from the crib, Serenity died because her mother was neglectful. She probably got her head stuck in between the bars trying to get out of that crib because Connie use to ducktape the toddler bed on top of Serenity’s crib. Connie had a toddler bed for Serenity since about May that year. She was just too lazy to teach Serenity. Connie was a drug addict and still is. I heard she had another baby in April but ask her where her kid is. The baby never came home with Connie because CPS took custody because Connie smoked pills during her entire pregnancy. CPS is also afraid of Connie killing another one of her kids.

Read the reports. What kind of person knows a crib is broken and still puts their kid in the crib? Serenity was 2 yrs old and knew how to get out of her crib. Why would she stick her head between the bars if she could have gotten out? She stuck her head there because Connie had her caged since in that crib since after the fight that occured between Connie and Connie’s mother.

Connie should be charged with 3rd degree Murder w/ aggravated child abuse. She caged that baby and because of that Serenity died because she was so hungry and thirsty she tried to crawl out of the crib any way possible.

No...I'm just a mother who lost her son in 1997 because all types of drop-side cribs are dangerous, not just the Simplicity ones. 90 dead babies in two years and 11,000 injuries. Let's keep the focus where it belongs and get these deathtraps off the market.

As a mother who has lost a child, I know the pain. I live with pain and regret everyday and it has been almost 4 years since I lost my daughter.

I don't think that anyone is getting off topic here. People are simply stating facts and opinions. Serenity's death is not something that you should involve in your cause. Please trust me on this. Her crib was one that was recalled but in the end it had nothing to do with her death. Serenity's death was tragic as she was 2 and 1/2 years old and there is no reason for her to be sleeping in a crib when her mother had a toddler bed for over 6 months at the time of her death.

I agree with getting all the drop side rails off the market. I totally support your cause but, going around and digging through stories and not getting the facts of the stories are not going to help your cause. I really think you should research your stories a little better before assuming things. If you research the story, maybe since you can't talk to the mother, you should try talking to the police and verifying information before assuming what the news reports say are correct. You are clearly on a mission to slander this family. I want no part of that. Unless and until this child's death is listed as negligence I will continue to make the public aware of the hazard. This child's death was caused by a drop-side crib; this is a fact that has been verified. There was a reason for the billion-dollar recalls.I am sorry for the loss of your dear daughter. Hasn't that loss given you the gift of empathy? If you can't feel for your former friend, can you not feel for me? The other 180 parents grieving their child's loss due to the dropside design?
Mothers, be outraged. The crib industry has spent years selling cribs that they know are unsafe. Cribs should not have to be duct-taped. Children should be able to stay safe in their cribs for at least three years and those cribs should have the durability to last for a few generations. My grandma's dining room table is over 100 years old and solid as a rock. If you have a drop-side crib please post.

2.2 million drop-side deathtraps recalled on Tuesday. 4 more infant deaths to add to the 110 others. horrific. stay strong Ms. Bergey, stay strong.

Yeah a child died but the child died because her mother neglected her. Her mother was a drug addict that cared and still does care more about her habit than her children. Why do you think child services took her new baby? Because she's mother of the year? Please they took that baby because the baby was born addicted to drugs and they weren't about to risk another child dying of neglect.
