I'm sure someone will determine these thugs were not guilty because they were (pick your excuse) minorities, momma didn't love them, society picked on them, etc., etc., etc.... I blame it on them being wild as.sed thugs and they need a dose of their own medicine before you incarcerate them for life.

I hope they put these little monsters in jail for a long time, but that's unlikely. They'll probably get a slap on the wrist. I blame the parents of these thugs. Why not put them all in jail-the parents and their rotten kids? The victim will suffer for a long time, physically and mentally, from this horrible act. Poor kid. It just makes me sick.

Why didn't he just jump in the pool? How long did he burn and flail alongside a swimming pool?

Several months of a great deal of pain--I'm so sorry that this happened to this young man. Everyone send him good thoughts, cards, prayers, whatever. He's suffering right now and needs people's support. The ones who did this to him will be punished--either now or later, to be sure.

How do you hold the parents responsible when society thinks it has the right to tell you how to discipline your children. Or do you figure these thugs didn't get enough time outs as a child?

Odds are these thugs will be living in juvie for a long time to come. Unfortunately, then they'll get out to commit other crimes before they get sent to the Big House where some nice inmates will make them their brides.

I grew up with a dad in the house. He was not a big believer in time-outs. He was, however, a big fan of knowing where we were and what we were doing, which worked out fine. My mother would not have been on TV defending any of her children for such a despicable crime-like one boy's mother did today. I knew if I got in trouble at school (or anywhere!), I would get in equal trouble at home, so that rarely happened. We (my sister, brother, and I) were lucky we had parents that were involved and would not have tolerated the disrespect shown toward adults (teachers, coaches, parents of friends, etc.) that is common today. You don't have to whip a child all the time to make a decent human being out of them. It's amazing what a child will do for approval from a parent that they know cares and is involved in their lives. It's equally amazing what they will do to get the attention of a parent who is rarely there for them (except maybe to defend them on CNN). The parents are responsible. I doubt that fear of hitting or whipping their kids to keep them in line is the main reason these boys were capable of such hateful violence.

another example of the fine children(s) single Mom's are bringing up. One of the little arsonists Mom said she doesn't believe her son was involved. RIGHT Mom. That's the way to go...make more excuses for your little future convict.

OMG how the hel* could they do this???????? What kind of animals are they? Put them and their parents UNDER the jail. Little bastards, they obviously have absolutely no respect for anything if they have no respect for life. I'd like to get my hands on their parents. I can only imagine how the victim's Mom must feel. I'm a mom and I know what I'd want to do to someone who hurt my kid!!!!! Disgusting POSs don't deserve to breath the air civilized people breath. And, I dont care how rough of an upbringing they may have had. Lots of people have hard times and get past it and would never dream of doing anything like this. It just makes me sick to my stomach.

This is just terrible. When we stopped being able to spank kids and went to time out the whole world went downhill. Gone are the days when you would get your a** busted for the wrong and gone are the days when if you had done something wrong, your momma knew it before you got home. No one cares anymore it doesn't seem like anything is working. We are acting as if we are in the third world countries where there is no regard for life. If they go to juvenile, they will only get a slap on the hand, it's a piece of cake for these kids. Work it out, do your time and when your 18, we will give you a break. If you think they aren't that smart and didn't know what they were doing, you have it all wrong. These kids know more today what with youtube and all the other information they can receive than we did in our day. This definetely cannot be called an accident. I hope everyone writes their senators and congressman on this one so that the laws can become stiffer for these kinds of outcomes and be a voice for this other child. I don't care how BADA** you are, you have no right to do any of this to anyone. I think they all should be sent to a hospital, in a burn unit and be made to work and help every patient in that unit from changing bandages to giving baths and holding on to the bed pans 24/7 and attending to all of someones needs till they drop. Put a voice to the injustice, make them pay. Don't just put them in a cell for their families to feed their phone account and their commissaries. (The system should start taking 15% of that and giving it to victims of families) I worked for a prison systems and one of their commissaries ran $100,000 dollars a month through it, now go figure. My apologies and heart go out to this young victim, for our government and the system that will not eventually protect your rights. Heck, I am not sure that anyone has any rights anymore....

the little animals ought to spend about 5 years community service at a burn center so they can witness firsthand the pain they have caused. jail will only make them into meaner bigger more dangerous criminals when they get out. and this bull sh1t of blaming the parents-no. alot of kids have crappy parents and they turn out just fine. don't put the blame on their parents because it takes the spotlight off the kids and gives them an excuse to blubber about how bad they have it.--put the blame exactly where it belongs - on the POS kids that did this. no matter how horribly they were parented makes no difference because THEY HAD A CHOICE AND THEY DELIBERATLY CHOSE TO TRY TO BURN SOMEBODY ALIVE. don't take any of the responsibility of their crime away from them by putting some on the parents. no. these kids are solely responsible for their actions.

The ringleader was probably a sociopath (although at his age, another name is given to his social disorder.) They act impulsively, and have a complete disregard for the feelings and rights of others. They also lack a conscience, and are completely self-serving. And one of the factors that typically lead to this anti-social behavior is abuse. So I don't know that whipping the kid would actually help. Early intervention and treatment may.

Daily Horoscope for December 9

Pisces

You have a one track mind today, dear Pisces, and it's running along very ambitious lines, absolutely determined to achieve something you've been attempting for ages. Can you be so committed that you're prepared to let everything else go by the wayside for the time being? That's great, but don't become obsessive about it.
