Veterans Day

Thank you, Veterans! EVERY Veteran has a story to tell. Ask a veteran theirs!

My grandpa was in the Navy and stationed in the Phillipines during WWII. I went out to the cemetary today and put three little US flags out on his grave. Fixed my Uncle Butch's urn and fought off ants and mosquitoes while doing all of this. I miss my grandparents very much.

My Dad was in the Korean conflict, but died when I was very young. I have a few of his medals. Any idea how I can find out what they are given for? Wish I had a Daddy to protect me as I got older....

Which branch?

Actually, all you have to do, is type "military medals" into Google and it will bring up a whole host of sites, which you could likely find the medals.

I served my country, ShtEpants. I'm certainly not ignorant of the military branches, by any means and even have medals of my own.

As a matter of fact yes. I recieved a medal as well as a citation during my years of service.

Thanks DPTX. I've got to get busy and look into it as I have wondered many times over the years....He was in the Army.
