Tonkawa tribe president faces drug charges

This is such a sad thing.

I don't believe in using Drugs and this Guy Most likely won't be Charge with the Crime he Committed after all why would Kay Co Spend their time for A big court case over this Guy for Drugs if thats the Case he would already done Charged him .And if they Charge this Guy then They Ought too Open their eyes and Look at Blackwell Drugs are all over that Town and it's all A joke They only take the ones they want real bad too that Kay jail house .After all look at the People that had A Meth lab going right next door too Police department That is what wrong with the Town letting the Low life dead beat Dopies run right over Blackwell and Turn Are Kids right on over too the Drugs what Blackwell Drunk&Druggies don't Care aboutthem selfs muchless kids in this world but their next shot .Blackwell use too be A nice Town at one time But NOBODY seems too careless what happen's After all What is the Point of having A Police department if their not doing anything about the Bull_____and shutting their eyes and over looking the fact it's going on is what I can't understand It just makes A person stop and wonder what this world is coming too It's Out of control and the Sick O's needs too be taken right off the streets right behide bars after all as the saying goes you committ A crime you shallow pay the price not one Druggies but them all !!!!!!!!!!

the same thing goes on in oregon the execitive director of the umatilla tribe was seen doing cocaine on a table in the casino but he is above the law and nothing ever came of it, i guess if you know the right people or entertain them at big pricey parties then you get a free pass..sickens me but if the average tribal member did such a thing they go to jail whats wrong with this picture.relocated to newkirk sorry things are the same all over this land..

Well, well. I used to work at the Comfort Inn and rented rooms to him all the time. Every time he showed up, he had glassy eyes??? Being I was a pothead then, I knew he was either stoned or tweaking. But, I didn't care cuz I hated cops and just wanted to left to my own addiction. I believe his brother was fired from the casino for embezzlement. Apple never falls far. Anyway, Blackwell is full of drugs. I used to live there and was a pothead. Now that I'm outta that hell hole and sober for almost a year; I thank God the piggies got me too. And 1st hand experience is that Most Druggies need help. Counseling and relocation+God and family helped fix me. The dealers do deserve jail time. But, drug cases are bankrupting Most jails nationwide. I'm not saying slap them all on the wrist. Wouldn't rehab+ community service= a win for both sides???? I think the violent criminals and sexual deviants need jail but, a majority of the drug users simply need help.

Hopefully he will get drug-court so he can keep working until his debt to society is paid off - at least he lost the tribal election - that speaks volumes about how the other tribesmen feel about drugs

I just saw in the Blackwell paper were Eddie has been arrested again. God Bless you man - get off the junk!

You don'tknow me idiot. I have no felonies. Ratted no one out either. I told my fellow smokers after the cops busted me. A Real man doesn't hide behind a screen name. I was a pothead and I have now been sober for 16 months. I go to college, work 2 jobs (as usual), & help raise my kids like a "smart man" should. I admit I've made mistakes and am paying for them. Grow up and make something of yourself. I'm sure you're still a user and abuser. Thanks for the laughs you wanna be Judas.

This is for Jeremy Hoar, I would like to tell you that you seem like a smart and inciteful young man and I for one enjoy your posts. I am glad that you got off drugs and are going to school and taking care of your family. We have all made mistakes of one sort or another. Keep posting and I will keep reading!!

Thanks! It appears like You Tube, Topix is full of trolls. Due to my former life, some of these trolls were supposed friends. Facts are they just used me for whatever I had and I used them likewise. No one is perfect. God knows what a zombie I had become. I'll say it again- Thanks 2 God, my wife, Byron, Tammy, Bryan, and yes; Mitchell for helping me kick my addictions. I still see former users and can't believe I was so far gone like them. Here's 2 everyone getting off whatever is destroying their lives.

Sadly he was still nominated by some of my fellow tribal members and recieved 20 votes... It amazes my how my Uncle can sit back and deny any wrong doing that is blatantly evident to the majority of the Tonkawa People and honestly believe it. He is currently under federal investigation for embezzlement now with members of the past administration and hopefully he is put away before he causes anymore harm to himself or to our tribe.

The latest that I have heard is that they have postponed his trial 5 times and it is expected to just go away. What is the deal with this? Is this another case of money talks and the poor get screwed or what?

I know from my situation that it matters who you pissed off, who you are, and yes; how much money you can spend to defend/pay the courts. My pre-trial alone was delayed 2 or 3 times just so I could get a lawyer. Then we plead down and yes, I'm grateful but will have to pay around $ 12k for my freedom. And I could have gone to trial and fought the charge I plead but, that's more money and no guarantees. My kids need me working and making something of myself.
