Women: NEVER allow a man to move into your home. If you must try cohabiting, move in with him, so that you can do the leaving. Keep your own place until you are certain the relationship is one in which you wish to remain.

Well said UN-COMMON SENSE, I couldn't agree more. I would also add DO NOT use online dating services (which is exactly what the woman did). |

Go f*ck yourself... |

@$$#o1e ... what if she was your mother, sister, or daughter? |

I guess the city NOT approving the horse track had anything to do with this?
I bet money and a loss of a job did . Too much strees these days |

IMO she should of got a sawed off shot gun and while he was sleeping let it go off on his butt!

I agree. Online dating services are a very scary way to meet someone. You never know what you are meeting just as in this case. Very sad. |

Thanks for playing, we have some nice departing gifts for you. You should have kept your mouth shut. |

Agreed. Good post. |

It's very sad to hear about this case, which is similar to many domestic abuse cases you hear about year round. Unfortunately, men who have no problem with hitting the women "they love" are not ones that can have a serious discussion of a break up in the relationship. Sadly, the woman who is in a violent relationship needs to quietly and secretly find a way to leave without addressing the issue in itself, or the results in having this conversation can be very serious. Domestic abuse is not a pretty picture and as charming as these men can be to entice the woman into the relationship, they are not so charming or understanding when you want to end the relationship. They are, quite frankly, dangerous. So, my advice to anyone who is in a battered relationship is to find a way out. These men will not change, the situation will only get worse, and if there are children involved, they will be victims as well and the cycle will continue. God bless you all and keep you safe!

"Dennis" How dumb a comment is that to say she should have shut her mouth..you are probably an ABUSER to even think that way...
This is so sad..I hope they find the "Boyfriend" who obviously has deep issues. It is sad she did not get out of there in time...Tragic... |

WAIT...the article says the boyfriend was a "professional". That makes it okay, I hate those low class uneducated killers.
If someone murders me , I want them to have a PHD and a 3 piece suit at least. Anyway Debary is such a 'quiet town'...NOT. The Debary Walgreens was robbed before it's grand opening. Two stores were recently broken into in the Winn Dixie Plaza, and now a nice murder to show how quiet Debary is. Look forward to more crime Debary, as the depression tightens it's hands around your skinny christian neck. |

To Dennis who made that rediculous comment, this was my cousin you are talking about. So you should keep your mouth shut. She was my cousin, a mother and a daughter. She was a person not just a news story. So please think before you open your mouth or type a message about a tragedy in someones family.

Let me guess - I'd bet the boyfriend is a "cradle catholic" too.(Just like the Santa in California that killed those people)

It's an all too common situation. Someone is ashamed to be in an abusive relationship and intimidated by the abuser. So they do nothing. The abuse escalates until it ends in tragedy. If you are the victim of abuse, seek help. People are out there who care about you and want you to be safe and happy. Abusers need to pay for their crimes. Stop protecting them. They deserve what they have coming to them.
Please, please report domestic abuse. |

Unreal, that's twice this year in Volusia that an FDLE employee's home has become a crime scene.

I don't think there is a thrill. She was afraid of him. And even if she didn't try to throw him out. It could have still ended badley. Haven't you ever heard of someone getting killed by a stalker. There are victims of abuse that are Men also Not just women. |
||||
I amalso her cousin and You are an a**hole. You have no idea who she was or what she liked. You have no reason to open you mouth. You have no respect for anyone or anything. You need to get a clue. Go to He**, You Pig!!! |

When does an abusive relationship become the most dangerous? When the abused tries to leave. A person who is being physically abused should seek help and sneak away discreetly. That is the safest way to get away.
