Poor Mr. Gates, a victim of vicious racist police, was trying to cooperate with a white law enforcement officer but was arrested because of skin color. Our great president, Mr. Obama, scolded the cops, and rightfully so. In turn, the KKK and the republican congressmen and women demanded an apology from the 'Great One', Obama. What a sad state of affairs we face in the USA today. The white race has run this country for 200 years, it is time for the blacks and latinos to have a chance at it. This is the 21 st century and we must move on.

Depends on what really happened. If in, in fact, Gates did not show ID and did not cooperate, then the police officer acted properly. If Gates did show ID then shame on the Police officer.

At this point I am not sure who to believe...

Answer this question, if you support President Obama. Why won't he show his birthcertificate and put to rest the rumors once and for all about his natural born citizenship?

Yes the Blacks and Latinos have done such a tremendous job running the countries, they are in charge of. I can't wait to live as the people in Africa or any country South of our border. We "White" people have built the greatest country on the planet. People from every country want to come here. No country or thier leaders are perfect. But I will stack our history up against any country you can name. Good deeds or bad, the U.S.A. will come out on top.

IMO the president should have stayed safely out of this. being our first Black pres. he is already under enough scrutiny & in a unique position to do loads of good for our racial division, as he is, may I remind everyone, both black & white,not just black! In this case he did the exact opposite. Secondly this is not just something that happens to Blacks or Latinos, believe it or not there are literally thousands of white males that this happens to every yr but you never hear them screaming racism! A black cop wrongfully arrests a white male, he gets released but that's the end of it, as it should be. Why is it ok to be a racist if you are Black or Hispanic but wrong if your white? this kind of mishap is ok if its performed by a Black or Hispanic but has a racist threat or undertone if your white? Folks believe it or not racism doesn't belong to one race or culture. you DON'T have to be white to be a racist!!!! I know Blacks and Hispanics who are, say, & do far more racist things than some want to believe these so called injured cultures do. know im not a racist, & I believe God created everyone on this earth equal, But i also believe that this race card is being way over used for a pity-me I got in trouble for my actions know i want a way out excuse!!! im not saying that's the case here but it is in so many others that it makes it truly hard to sympathies with those who may be truly a victim. pulling this card so often truly makes those of us who care to shrug or shoulders & say oh great here we go again. People get desensitized to this problem by its over use in situations where there is no racism just a problem of two men making common mistakes by hosing down the decks with their testosterone trying to prove who the top dog is going to be. When men stop competing with each other & learn to communicate these stupid mistake will become less & less, & we will get some peace from it! As one other poster said yes we are the greatest nation on earth, but not solely on what race ran this country but also on our unique racial diversity. Lets keep it that way shall we.

& i still say a woman of any color could run this country better @ least they can [& have for centuries] balance a checkbook, & a budget! no matter how large or small.with the exception of some who can be flighty. IMO

However, I will point one thing out. With a Black President in office, who goes against our constitution, can't or won't prove his natural born citizenship, has played the racial card himself, others will follow his lead. I mean, is the President going to come to someone's defense if they are accussed of racism against a black man, or hispanic? NO that would upset people.

I am so sick of people playing this "look at the color of my skin", we shouldn't be looking at the color of your skin. We look at the heart of a man, not the color of his skin. It's your character I am interested in, not the color of your skin.

He is the one who needs to stop the racism, not exploit it!!!

it was once again reported on the news that president Obama WAS born in Hawaii give it a break we know your main issue is not his place of birth but his race.

It might be posted on a web site, but he has yet to hold it up in the air infront of the media and the supreme court and allow the document to be examined. I dont' care if snopes.com has seen it, he has invested ties into that web site, of course they are going to say he is ligit.

Do you honestly think that he would've gotten into the white house had he not been. Other candidates have dropped their bids over women sitting on their laps which is nothing compared to what you are claiming. Do you honestly think that Barack Obama would try to run for president if he wasn't being honest about where he was born I think not.This is not a stupid man who would jepordize his political career. These are allegations that are so far out there that they're actually funny. Like I said before I truly believe the fact that he is a Black man is what bothers some of you the most. I am not against him being black. I am against a political party who did not vet their canidate properly. I don't believe I ever heard ONE democrat admit that they had infact, vetted President Obama's records, history, etc like they did other canidates. And yes, I do think he is a smart man who knows we have a flawed system and could pull the wool over the right people's eyes.

I repect the office of President. But I just can't understand why someone who has nothing to hide, wouldn't be shoving the proof in the American's face that he is in fact eligible to be president.

Why would the Army dismiss deployment orders on a Major in the reserves, if President Obama was willing to prove his eligibility? This Major is Florida sued, asking for proof his commander and chief was eligible to servce as President. The case was dropped. All this Major asked for was proof President Obama was a "Natural Born" citizen.

President Obama has run from this and quite frankly if I personally supported the man, I would be requesting he put this to rest once and for all.

Change of subject:

How can you support an administration that is railroading policies and bills down the throats of the American people? We don't even know the extent of the bills that have been signed into office. He has signed more bills into office then any other President in recent years? Why the rush to change so many laws, put funding in the hands of people we don't even know enough about? Why....

Why can't the Senate and Congress debate bills on teh floor anymore? This is a HUGE decision and backed by this administration. This is why so many things are being rushed through.

And I tell you, if the healthcare bill is passed and put into law we will loose more freedoms then anyone can possibly imagine. That bill is full of so many government controls in our lives and it is not just a bill on healthcare. Why would this health care plan not be good enough for the government employees? Ask yourself that, because not one government official will have to be on this plan. They are the only ones who will have the right and freedom to choose an alternate plan. The rest of us, have to choose THE PLAN. I

I will pray for President Obama just like I have other Presidents. I pray they follow God's will for our country, not their personal agenda's. I don't curse him, I ask for God to bless him. But I don't respect him. I have yet to hear him answer a question, he walks around every question that hits him personally. I don't expect him to be perfect, and I know past President's haven't been either. But we should demand all political officals to be honest and upfront. Shame on us for not demanding this.
