Review: K-9 Korner

This place has now been given a fancy name of Fl Wellness Center after moving 3 times in a few yrs. Give me a break. I was a customer at the 1st one from day one and have experienced first hand the constant raise in prices because of the owner overextending herself and trying to make the customers pay for it. The code of ethics listed on her website are a bold faced lie and a joke. I was treated rudely and lied to every time I went. I know of others who have quit going because of the outrageous prices. There are other groomers in the area who treat their customers with respect and charge reasonable prices for their services.

I have been a client of thiers for a long time. I started using thier grooming services last year. Their prices are great and they love to pamper my dogs. My hated going to my old groomers, but love going here. They get to play in a large open, beautiful yard before they get groomed. They also get walked and loved on by the staff. I would highly recommend this groom shop/vet clinic. It is a one stop shop. The staff is also very polite to me, and always groom my dogs how I like them. I will not take my "kids" any where else!

The prices are certainly not great. They are outrageous. Just count the number of people who quit going because of the rudeness of the owner and the prices climbing every few months every time the owner decided to improve her website or move to another location. Get real!! You must be on the staff. That would be the only way to explain your idiocy.

K9 Korner and FloridaWild Wellness Center are 2 different places run by 2 different people, 2 different staff.

Amy is a liar. She has moved 4 times in under 3 years. I used to take my dog to her to get groomed. Amy moved to Florida Wild in August of 08. She told me that she purchased Florida Wild, and gave me a tour of "her new place" and all. Recently I got a letter from her stating that "we have moved". I went into Florida Wild as they still appeared to be open. I was shocked to find out that Florida Wild (who I use for veterinary services) is still open, and in fact Amy never owned it at all! She sold her business to Florida Wild and lied to me. She also had told me that she was the one who groomed my dog, which was another lie. I always tipped $20 cash, and she was always so quick to thank me for the tip and pocket it (in front of me, but then again, I thought she groomed my dog). The people who actually groomed my dog are still there, as are the other staff. She did nothing more than sit up front and play receptionist all day. She has a lot of nerve lying to clients like that. She will never see me or my dog again. There is a lot to be said about a person who lies like that. It all catches up to you Amy. I trusted you with my dog, and you lied to me. Never again. Perhaps Amy needs some professional help.

Right on!!!!!! What goes around comes around. So glad that I was not the only one who got furious with her lies and mistreatment...

So, she stole the client list and re-opened her shop under the same name she sold to Florida Wild? How can this be? I do get my dog groomed at Florida Wild, and am glad I called up there and found out that in fact my groomers are still there and Amy lied. I hope they are suing her for what little she has. My goal is to see her run out of town. And I think that may happen. She came blazing in here from Orlando, I believe, thinking she could take over DeLand. She also sent me a letter. Must be desperate as I told her a long time ago to remove me from her mailing list, that I would not be back.

i too got one of those flyers and it said nothing about Florida Wild, and how is it that you are so involved in the specifics between K-9 korner and Florida Wild? to quote an earlier blogger, you must be an employee of Florida Wild, that is the only way you would be writing this... i've been a client of K-9 Korner for years and i am sorry that people do not realize that INFLATION hits all businesses. can you buy a coke for the same price you did 5 years ago?? probably not! So dont expect to pay the same prices you have been paying from day one for a dog groom. i have been very happy with their staff and with their quality of work! K-9 Korner should take it as a compliment that these same 2 or 3 people that continue to try and blast them have nothing better to do with their time than write about you!! you must be doing something right if people can't stop talking about you, so keep it up. maybe they are just desperate Florida Wild employees (or owners) that are scared they are losing too many valued customers to you.

are you for real? she is a compulsive liar. Just check your facts. You are misinformed. She has moved 4 times in a few yrs. she mistreats clients and lies to them. You must be rich to want to pay those exhorbitant rates. Shop around and you will see.

Boy you got that right. It's a small community and word gets around. I know so many people who quit going to her. She is just mean and untrustworthy. And lies like a rug and is greedy.
