Golf carts do not stop for cars, they are to busy chasing their balls. As a driver you might as well stop and let them blow through, this way you will not have a bright color pants wrapped around your grill.

I do not agree with Florida Highway Patrol Sgt. Kim Miller, if I was on a quiz program I would say, stop for the red arrow, stop and go on a flashing red arrow.

Um____okay

Ron, Sorry that you do not agree with the FHP, however I don't know how you can disagree with a matter of fact. That is what the law is. Not really any room for debate....

"I can't turn right on a red arrow."
Do you see what causes many traffic tie-ups in Orlando? Complete ignorance to the rules of the road. Drivers doing at or below the speed limit in the left lane, drivers not knowing you can turn right on red, drivers cutting you off if you leave more than 1 car length between you and the person in front of you.
Many Orlando drivers are stupid. No other word for it.

Although it is very maddening, there is no law in Florida that drivers in the left lane must not use the left lane if they are doing less than the speed limit.

What is the definition of running a red light?
It turns red WHILST you're in the intersection? Or, Red BEFORE you entered it? If it's WHILST, are the Yellow lights timed based on the length of the intersection?

The red light thing makes sense, that you can't turn right on a red arrow. It used to be the same way at I-4 eastbound lake mary blvd with the red arrow to turn right onto Lake Mary, but this question was answered years ago by Road Dog, saying a right on red arrow is allowed. I even had a friend who pulled up to that light and said, are they serious, you can't turn right on red here? I assured him it was all legal.

If you enter the intersection WHILST the light is still yellow, you're ok.

Now go back to England...

Therefore, I will do the exact speed limit in whichever lane I choose, no matter how much it consternates or constipates you. Well......Unless you agree to pay my speeding tickets and have the cops put the points on YOUR driver's license instead of mine. Would you do that for me? What a pal!

Left lane on an interstate highway is NOT a travel lane. It is a passing lane. Bad driver. Now go back to Driver's ed and don't worry about how fast other people want to drive. If you are so stuck on obeying the rules of the road, then start doing it by NOT traveling in the left lane.

Why doesn't Florida teach people that it's OK to take the intersection when making a left turn at a light.
If you are in the intersection before the light goes Red, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT OF WAY. Opposing traffic MUST WAIT TILL THE INTERSECTION IS CLEAR before preceding when their light turns green.

If you people are getting this worked up behind a computer screen, I'd hate to see you behind a wheel.
It is aggrivating that people don't know the rules of the road. It says in the drivers manual very clearly what the rules are regarding every sort of traffic signal or sign you could ever encounter. It does amaze me how few people know what to do when facing a red arrow.

They're idiots. It doesn't matter HOW MANY TIMES they're explained about 'treat it like a four way stop'...... YOU JUST CAN'T FIX STUPID!

Because people run red lights. I wait at the line until it's clear I will be able to go after someone with the light still green. Nothing worse than being in the middle of a busy intersection when the light turns red and oncoming traffic does not "yield". Scruw that!
