Michael Ehman's mother, and sister have said, that the problem stems, from drug addiction & abuse, and that Ehman was himself a victim of Devlin's sick mind. It won't change anything in a court of law! Ehman's mother & sister are desparate to find a way to hide their shame! His mother has to take some respnsibility for his direction in life, but they pay too high of a price.

The question is - Who will take over the Desert Inn? Will it end up becoming just another of the abandoned properties that litter our beachside?

The Humphrey group in Sanford bought Holiday Inns & suites next to the Desert Inn, according to reports. One can only hope a plan for expansion is in order. They have announced to the media that there are plans to try! Given the seedy reputation of the Desert Inn which most likely will or has been seized by the city, I feel confident that the Humphrey Group will go ahead with that plan.

Daytona certainly doesn't want another empty lot! It's only a matter of time before the city finds code violations or delinquent property tax issues. Land issues need to be resolved. The Desert Inn won't go away until they are.

Some of these comments are regarded as nuts: clueless: off topic. Not acting on the idea that Dolores Devlin [Dennis Devlin's mother] knew what was going on was a big mistake. The hotel for lack of a better word- brought a lot of business to Daytona because of spring break. Someone has to be protecting that property because it has serious financial issues. If it was seized by the city, no news was realeased. Yes the previous arrests were in 92-and again in 95. The Hilton is south Daytona was bought by humphrey. It was mentioned with other hotels that were saved in the Bray Gillespie fiasco.

Daily Horoscope for May 24

Capricorn

If you need to get someone organized, this is the day to do it. You'll sort things out without sounding bossy or patronizing, and you'll also get co-operation instead of resistance. It's a good day for having a serious chat with a child, perhaps because you need to explain something and want to make sure you do it properly, in a way that doesn't create confusion or fear.
