Hope you didn't invest or use Brown Tax service out of Sale Creek/Soddy! Apparently the old man and son were arrested and stand accused of bilking millions out of the people who trusted them with their money.

They loved to go around and let people know how religious they were, and go to Sale Creek Church of God, I guess their tithes there were with stolen money. I wonder if the church will return their dirty money to the authorities?

Been telling my family to pull their money from him for years. Now they have lost it all. Not a good time for a "told you so" moment.

I always wondered how running a small town tax/cpa service could net you enough to buy the extravagant houses, toys, etc that they are always bragging about.

I guess lying and stealing is how it's done!

When the economy is going down the crapper and they show no signs of any slow down at all that is usually a sure sign that something isn't exactly right. I really hate it for the many retired individuals that had trusted their life savings with this family. I am sure there is much more to come from this.

Yep, It sounded too good to be true. The returns promised were fantastic. We almost put some money in a few years ago.Really thought about it too, because we trusted them so much. Man I am in shock!!

Why is it that it seems to make others feel better about themselves when someone else is caught doing something wrong? Are we to assume that everyone who is posting negative comments lives a blameless life? That is not possible because WE HAVE ALL SINNED. Everyone of us is guilty of some kind of treachery in our lives and if just one other person was affected by it we are as guilty as these. Christ was crucified for YOUR sin, YES YOURS. So lets not forget that we are ALL disgusting sinners and no one should be pointing fingers. Shame on you!!!!

You must be one the hypocrites who attend Sale Creek Church of Goins, I mean, God with the Browns. Just proves church attendance on Sunday doesn't mean you are living right the rest of the week. Their actions do not surprise me at all. I feel bad for those who were stolen from and hope the Browns are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law - unless, of course, they use all that stolen money to hire a high power lawyer to cut a deal for them.

This didn't happen overnight, this wasn't a "One time" sin that they begged forgiveness for!

This was meticulous theft that happened over and over again, from many of their trusting customers. They were well known members of Sale Creek Church of God, which means week after week of stealing they would attend their church and not feel remorseful about it enough to come clean with their crimes. I'm not sure if that simply makes them sociopaths or if they thought it was 'okay' because the 'church of god' doesn't care about members who commit million dollar fraud and larceny. They probably don't care as long as the dollars keep rolling in from somewhere.

I am one of those people who had Money with jack Brown, also he has done our taxes for years, not only mine but all my family's. I am just sick that this happened. He was really a fine man, a friend we all loved him dearly. What a shame, I have cried and really been upset over all this, My husband is also in the hospital fell and broke his hip had to have a total hip replacement, sure could use my money, But it is in Gods hands so just have to wait and see. It sure has hurt all my family. we hope the best for them God Bless all the family. WE do love you Jack Brown.

Your Money is in Jack Brown's greedy hands NOT Gods!

Don't put this evil in God's lap, The Brown family made their choices to steal, defraud and cheat their neighbors thereby violating Both of the Commands Jesus Christ gave his disciples.

I'm surprised nothing has been said of his Social Security scam yet, where he files phony SS disability info for people to collect on a percentage of it.

This guy is a thief, plain and simple, and unrepentant at that as there has been no formal admission or apology to anyone.

For those on here that lost money. Please pass this info on if you know people who have lost money. I have found a website that may help you recoup your money. Yes I am originaly from Soddy Daisy I live in AZ now. I have family that lost money.I found this link on what to do to try and recover your money: http://www.ehow.com/info_8382471_five-ways-re...
It says to refer to your records, statements, and checks. Hopefully everyone still has them. It states sue the right people. We all know the Browns have no money. So sue the banks and feeder funds (if any) that were used. It is up to the banks to monitor accounts and if suspicious activity accurs then they are to report it. So the local bank that the Brown's used could be on the hook for your money. I think they kept their money at Community National Bank. Mitigate your losses federal tax rules allow for you to recover 50% of stolen money. If there is a Bankruptcy involved (which I am sure will be) make sure to file your claims with the BK Trustee. Lastly, this one could pit neighbor against neighbor. It is called a Clawback Provision. Which means you can claw your way up the pyramid to recover your money from previous investors. I hope this helps. It will be a long uphill battle and may require hiring attorneys. Berney's investors are still trying to get their money back. I think they are about to see some money.

The great thing about our justice system is that word "Alleged".

He is innocent until proven guilty, but more often than not, the justice system doesn't go after 'alleged' individuals, especially rich ones, without a substantial case built against them.

But no matter what words you use, or how you spin it, the word "alleged" is BS to those who know their money is gone!
