I hear there are gays from out of town buying up land all over Dayton, wanting to build a big gay resort. They are wanting to do this because of the Monkey Trial a few years back. This is the devil wanting to get back at all of us good Christians. If someone comes to you wanting to buy larges acreage, ask them if they are the queers from atalnta. These are the people wanting to bring lots of queers to our good christian community. BEWARE friends. Dont sell to queers.

This is amazing, we are having a lot of calls from the Atlanta area wanting to buy land in Dayton. They are looking for 10 to 200 acres, and the property doesn't have to be in the same area. I have been wondering what is going on, but now it all makes sense. A Gay Resort in Dayton, TN

This is making a mockery of all of the good Christian people who live there.

So, are you saying that all the Sneeds are gay?? LOL

I was gonna vote for Mikey but not now, we don't need a gay boy sheriff. Thanks for the heads up.

Over half of us here now are gay. People in the Court House, city hall, and even the churches. I know a preacher who loves men, when he is out of town of course. What difference are a few more going to make? LMAO, Fox and CNN would have a field day if they only knew how many closet gays there were in this little Piousville, Tennessee.

I think the truth is people on the outside figured out long ago that Rhea County is like a hold in the "belt". Sure the Bible belt may run over and around Rhea County but from judging (yes judging) all the folks I saw in Sunday school today, the warm embraces, fake smiles (hey, I did it too as a greeter today) I love everyone in attendence. CNN, FOX and the rest of them could care less but if they did take notice then the gays win. I would say they typical gay man is in better condition, physical and financial and is more hygenic than most women we see around here. You got to admit, there are some dumb looking, broke ass retards around here that have no clue what a mirror is, and now for the fabulous Rhea County man...Bada Bing-Bada Bang.

Let's see if we can get ole J.C. Fugate riled up again. He did quit his position on the commission not long after he proudly displayed how he would like homosexuals removed from Rhea County. I say we should let his overall wearing, tobacco chewing get up and represent how christianity is abound in rhea county. Stop the press man..... I think according to Christianity that we are to love all people. Rhea County is a county over run with religious fanaticism, portraying to the public that we are a good southern little town/county to visit, spend your money in, visit our national landmark and educate yourself in its rich history of the Scopes trial. We condemn Dwarnisism but take every opportunity to make a dollar from it. Oh, and let's just keep doing what Rhea County has always done, run people out because of race, religion, or sexual orientation becuase if it means it continues to keep out the sinners because we are all such saints while we die economically then God will reward us for making our county too good and high and mighty for any outsider of any type to possibly help rhea county prosper. The close-mindedness of the people of rhea county, while keeping the good little christian community that's jail is overflowing with pediphiles, drunks, addicts, and child and wife abusers is overflowing free of all trash from coming in. Reality check rhea county, please.

A hoax is a deliberate attempt to deceive or trick an audience into believing, or accepting, that something is real, when the hoaxer knows it is not; or that something is true, when it is false. In an instance of a hoax, an object or event is not what it appears to be or what it is claimed to be. This topic is a hoax. Dayton forum is going a little slow, so someone is doing this as a hoax.

The Scopes trial was a BIG JOKE. Science has proved there is evolution occuring daily. We do not see it, or notice it because it is a slow process. Amimal life has been evolving since the beginning of time, which brings us to another subject. What is time? I would suggest to you people who like to read, "A Brief History of Time" by Stephen Hawking. You can't put it down.

As far as sexual orientation and race is concerned, you don't choose your color or your sexual orientation, any more than you choose to have Heart Attacks, Aneuryisms, to some other physical problems like Psoriasis. It is all genetic, and has to do with your genes you have inherited from some relative.

It is possible J.C. Fugate has some homosexual genes and doesn't know it, or it could be that he has played around sometime in his life, the reason for his homophobia. Many people are homophobic, because they are homosexual and don't know how to deal with it. They become avid haters of those who are.

Racialphobics is because that has been what we have been taught through generations of our ancestors. What we have been taught isn't necessairly true. Some men of the cloth will tell you there were no Dinosaurs. How grossly mistaken these weekly Philosophers are. Many of them became authorities on Religion, Time, Evolution, Homosexuality, Racism, Creation, Science and many other interesting topics with out ever reading any book on the subject, or any training in their fields what-so-ever.

Those of us who believe something just because we have been told that, are not very good specimans of the Human Race, because we obviously do not know what our brain is for, and that is to independentaly "Think with".

If we depended on someone else to do our thinking for us, and tell us what to do and how to live our lives, we would be in one hell of a mess when that person died.

J.C. Fugate and a few others knows how to get Dayton in the news. Dayton has even made National Georgraphic as one of the most religious fanaticism community in America, as if the Scopes Trial didn't proove that. I think there are some very intelligent peole in Dayton, and people who can see through some of the illogical rhetoric of some of the "backward" leaders in Dayton.

Stephen Hawking is not well liked among his peers. He is actually laughed at at times. Like his theories that black holes do not exist. He spent years and years fighting them, then had a major breakthrough. He came out and said blackholes do exist, and acted like he discovered them.

He speaks of Black Holes in his book. Many people have often laughed at those who were super intelligent compared to them.

There may be a lot of geniuses all over America, and around the world. There are people all over America, and the world for that matter who still laughs and makes fun of Dayon, TN and their Cave Man fantacism. I don't mean that to be offensive, just the truth.

One question about a "black hole". Who here among us has ever seen a black hole? Some teacher told us about a black hole in a book, great. Some dude stands and says we evolved from monkies. Looking around at some folks actions around here, I can almost see the logic. In school my teacher said the Ice Age killed the dinosaur. Opps, now the same teachers say an astroid wiped em out. As for JC Fugate, he never belonged off the farm. Had he introduce a motion to ban "all those that wear overalls with no drawers on that reside within 50 yards of chickens, goate (male or female) or cows in a fir=eld where a flat topped 3 foot high tree stump is in the middle of a make shift stall in a corn field then who among us would be left? Okay, time for me to go "feed" the calves...

I can promise you that JC Fugate's ridiculous antics regarding homosexuals were not part of an intentional plot to garner publicity for Dayton. People like Fugate are not clever enough to orchestrate such a thing. Fugate's actions were from hatred and ignorance only, the very things that drive most people's opinion of gay people in Rhea County.

My question is this - what in the hell are you people afraid of? Do you think if you rub elbows with gay people that you will "catch" homosexuality? Got news for you, it's already here. You have teachers in your school systems who are GAY, you have people at your pulpits who are GAY, you have elected officials who are GAY, you have people sitting next to you in church who are GAY.

Just some interesting information for you - most "homophobes" have latent homosexual tendencies. That is a fact. Look it up.

You don't have to like it but you do have to live with it.

Very well said!!!! Hey, I am not gay. I do not advocate for it nor advocate against it. What a person does in his private sexual activity time matters not to me. You are right about Fugate, he is plainly too stupid to use some sort of "clever" scheme. Just another excuse from another poor excuse for a nonexcusable uneducated man filled with hate.

What if we all found out that our local Mayor enjoyed sniffing panties thrown away at area nursing homes???? What then? See, we all need to look at ourselves before we attempt to look at others, especially in a county where history shows one way in, one way out with a river on one side mountain range on the other and back before everyone had a horse then being gay was the least of the problems. I'd say the biggest problem was keepin' Uncle Herman from marrying Uncle Chester's daughter who happened to be his sisters cousins aunt by marriage.
