The problem is a complete lack of transparentcy on the part of the leadership team (?) at CRR. When you ask for information you are told, "we don't give that out" WHY NOT? The audacity of the people who are supposed to be working on our behalf is staggering.

We should know where all OUR money is going. There should be clear written communication that tells us how contracts are being awarded. If they are being put out to bid, as they should be I'd like to see the RFP and all the bids that came in. I want to know how hiring and staffing decisions are made, how salaries are determined, what those salaries are. Are we compensating these people on a competitive rate or are they getting way more (I suspect) in salary and benefits than those positions would warrant in another organization of the same size?

I find it astonishing that an organization that has a budget of just over 4 million requires a staff of 100 people. What do all those people do?

When information is withheld it makes me feel that someone is uncomfortable with the facts.

We need new people with a fresh perspective, who are not entrenched in the ways things have "always been done" Question everything and look for new ways to get things done more efficiently.

This whole thing with the "printer" is complete foolishness!

You are correct, The lack of responsiveness to the owners is astonishing.

A growing number of people who love living in CRR are becoming more active in questioning the goals of the BOD and managers. If they are making good decisions, They should be comfortable reviewing the facts and logic with thise who are concerned.

Change will not come quickly, but it will come.
The owners of CRR whether it be fulltime, part time, or investors, all should demand more from the BOD and managers.

If the BOD and managers are not willing to work for the goals of the owners, Then they should resign.

There are many positives to CRR, the BOD and current management needs to be questioned. The BOD has forgotten who they were elected to serve. The managers should review there loyalty as well.

We just need to not let this overshadow the good points in the community. That is why we moved, and bought in CRR in the first place.

If you don't like the way management and the BOD do business then keep your eyes on the land.

CRR has so many lots up for sale and has already sold many lots at bargain basement prices. We the owners have no idea who is scooping up these properties or what else is involved. We don't know if another corporation is buying the lots and if so, who are the principals? We don't know if the best lots are being offered to BOD members, favorite committee members, family members or friends of the BOD and management for pennies on the dollars. We will eventually find out, through public records, just how good the sweetheart deals were and who bought the lots. For now we don't know because everything in CRR is a big freakin' secret.

Round2 As Flint Timber edges closer final dissolution in US Bankruptcy Curt, what will happen to those hundreds of properties after FT is carved up like a roast?

Then there is Emerald with approx. 300 lots and no fees paid for three years now. CRR has not been able to find the owner to serve him legal papers in over three years. We have no idea what will happen to those 300 properties. As fr finding the owner, CRR is confident that he is located somewhere between the North Pole and the South Pole.

Somebody better keep an eye on who has been and will be buying all the properties sold by CRR. Oh never mind, somebody will. My bad.

Yep! Figure everyone on the BOD and their cozy friends will have bought several of these almost free lots. I'm sure they are going fast and furiously to get them in the hands of those who supposedly don't get paid to do our BOD work. Sweetheart deals?? You betcha!
FT will lose their lots to another investor-just like they got their lots. No cherry picking just buy them all at pennies on the dollar too. Wouldn't it have been better to settle this in our favor as opposed to letting some judge do our work for us? Just thinking it may have been more cost effective for us to do that. Guess that isnt going to happen so no sense in worrying about it.
Good so many of us have time on our hands to work on knowing all there is to know.
Anyone get a ballot yet?

thx. Really interesting "the herd" has now kinda gone back to the BG yahoo site. Who is the leader of the herd? Seriously, how can we who aren't in the click keep up with you? Who do we contact to stay in the herd for their points of view? Really, don't complain about communications when the herd goes underground. Did anyone ever submit other ideas to TAC? Did you ever get a response? Maybe all talk, no action?
Ballots on the way. Get ready. Should be interesting.
Ballots have been on the way for weeks, they had plenty of time to add Sherman Hawkins on the ballot but they didn't do it. That man had to spend close to a thousand just to get mailers out. He obviously thought they were going to get into people hands around the same time as the ballots.....but of course there was that infamous delay again.
YES, other ideas were submitted. The ball is in the TAC's court at the moment and we are all waiting to see if we have something more palatable other than what was previously given to us to vote on. I hope they aren't waiting on Richard Turnbull before a decision is made. Who knows when CRR will fit into his schedule/lifestyle.
Not that there is any problem with that, Richard. Just step down and let others take over where you are unable to. I know of a few volunteers that are willing and able.

No ballot yet in my mailbox.
My theory on these lots. They are being held for the new company that Flint Timber will start and they will just pick up their old lots for pennies on the dollar under a new corporation name. Just a theory. If you notice on their website they are still advertising their lots at a highly inflated price so they will be still available when the bankruptcy is completed.
http://www.ourlot.com/portfolio.php
If you look at our website, even after months of complaining and excuses we still don't advertise the lots that we have for sale.
http://coosawattee.net/residential-properties... . I wonder if they are being held back for the same purpose....mind you these are THEORIES not FACT. Just a little food for thought.
if you can't get the small challenges done, how are we ever going to get the major ones accomplished.

Could it be the zealous push to reduce fees for the undeveloped lots has nothing to do with Flint but is setting the stage for the next owners of the land. I wouldn't be surprised if Flint bought them under another name but would be very curious to see who else is involved.

But if the roles were reversed, Bill Smith's name would be on the ballot if he was the write-in candidate.

This is actually the fourth consecutive year where the election process has either been flawed or out right dirty. You may want to ask some of the board members about last years INVALID vote and how the process was manipulated and why.

If there was some manipulation of the vote last year, we have one year from the date of the vote to contest it. There is still time.
REMEMBER, LET'S MAKE SURE THIS YEAR WE GET NEW BLOOD ON THE BOARD. We can get this accomplished one member at a time.
WRITE IN SHERMAN HAWKINS(eagle mtn). Vote for GEORGE POOLE (beaver bend or forest not sure) AND ALVAREZ(campground rep). If we get those 3 in this year we will start working on next year. If something illegal was done last year, that would open up another board seat. If anyone knows which area Goerge Poole is running please post for those who live in that section.

Actually it would open up six seats since the entire election wasn't valid. For the time being, it would be best if a BOD member would be so kind as to address this situation, stop hiding from it and add some clarity for benefit of the owners. They have now been given several chances and have obviously declined. Go figure. They now can continue to duck the issue, tell the truth or lie about it.

Whatever happened to the daytrippers? They were going to be the best thing to happen in CRR for years. Even had a meeting to plan the trip to the casino or wherever and then? In the end, no one really wanted to go/do anything. All talk and no action, just like much of the talk around here. Oh well, maybe next time. Yea, right. On a Wedneday? Why was that. Left us people who can go weekends out in the dust. Seriously a disapointment. Went from bus to carpooling to nowhere.

Sounds like a great guy. Too bad I'm in EM. Is he a f/t or p/t resident in CRR? Does he have a preconcieved opinion on Flint, replat and/ or tiered dues? How many props dose he own? No ballots in my box today.

Did anyone get a post card from the guy running as a write in? Good idea for the man but wonder if he realized he has lots of not quite right information on there? It might be good to get a person who thinks he can save crr from itself on the board. From local gossip he will have few to support him sitting up ther with the big boys and girls. Could be more drama at the board meetings amd maybe more people will go watch them. Fun times ahead. Yipee!
I received a postcard and he will get my vote his name is Sherman Hawkins and he is a write in candidate. He has a home in EM. I like what he had to say. It is time for a change. The alternative is Bill Smith can we afford to have someone who will be in favor of raising our dues. I want someone representing yhe homeowners not the staus quo

I am also the Chair of the Property Committee. The lots that CRR owns are available on lists at the POA office. Not one BOD member or friend of a BOD (to my knowledge) has purchased a lot. and yes several lots have been offered to the owners of adjoining properties at a discounted price. But only lots that have a very low desirabilty rating, in plain terms, Heidi and her grandfather could not hike the grade of the land. And no most of your fellow owners have turned down the opportunity to buy the lot next door for $1.00. Also I help or assist and personally show our lots at my expense to anyone who would like to look. Just call me.
Ballots will be out in todays mail.

A little give and take goes a long way, so try to be flexible and malleable when dealing with others. It will also pay to ask people what they think rather than to make sweeping assumptions on their behalf, because you could be in for a surprise.
