mtn gal wrote: Who is heading the watch group now? Is it Tim Sullivan or Bob Wagner? What ever happened to Melissa? She was the only one who knew what was going on. If the Sullivans are involved it will leave a lot of us out we want nothing to do with either one of them. Melissa has moved out of CRRA, after her house burned to the ground, and is no longer a factor. Tim Sullivan is working with Gilmer County Detective, Marc Phipps (another obviously shady character) on Community Watch. That group will have a meeting tomorrow at 10 AM. Wagner (that's me) is still working on a summer league swim team for kids. Neither of those two endeavors have anything to do with CRRA politics so please behave yourself. Those two projects are entirely about the safety of our community and its kids. No place for adult squabbles there.

I will most likly passing through that area in late June. Don palm harbor Fl CRR is one of the best bargains around. For less than $600 you get 3 pools, oneinside; putt-putt golf; gated community; security; tennis; fishing pond; walking paths; and many more amenities. It is a wonderful place. My only concern is they allow the RVs to be rented. Overall, it's a wonderful place.

The location and ease of acess to Atlanta ammenities is great, but you are definitely in a relaxed area. I bought in CRR (Eagle Mountain)last year. I am not there fulltime, but I have never even seen the campground. Crr is large and has a diverse amount of housing options. We selected property in CRR over another area because it provided better curb appeal than many other areas.

B Wagner is trying to start a swim team which is good for the kids in CRRA. Mr Wagner does not need help from the Sullivans but since you are sure you know it all just wait and see. I only comment on what I am sure of and you will have to wait and see. Do you agree what they are doing to Bill Smith?

When it comes to a swim team, I will take good help from where ever it originates with absolutely no political considerations. As one who hasn't always praised the Board of Directors, I can honestly say the complete package that the BOD has offered a swim team is not only generous, it's the best I've ever seen and I've been at this swimming thing for most of my life. Now, can we please insulate the kids from politics? If the Sullivans or Bill Smith want to volunteer to be timers or spotters for a swim team or help in any way, they are more than welcome. I'd really like to see any one of them swim butterfly:) We could probably sell tickets for that.

Just read the Nov. crra newsletter. Why is Coosawattee river resort leaving the general store open all year when it loses money every month except summer?

There's a board meeting in 2 days (Saturday 10AM at the water tower). Why don't you show up and ask them. Your question seems to make sense.

The family that runs it has a house note to pay and they were not able to make money when they ran it themselves. So CRR gave them a job, further their house note is due every month not just in the summer. So you see, some of your dues money pays for their house.

"In her report for this past month, Treasurer Betty Reece outlined some of our concerns and noted that the association currently has five options to address our financial issues. Those options are: 1. Generate additional revenue, 2. Reduce Expense, 3. Borrow funds, 4. Use capital reserve funds, or 5. Have a special assessment. As Ms. Reece further stated, she is opposed to option 3, 4 and 5. We are constantly looking at option one, generating additional expenses and we have already begun operating under option 2, reducing expenses." Option one is coming next and that means the fees are going up AGAIN. Watch out for option 5. I do not think they are going to do option 1 if they are leaving the General Store open during the "dead" time of year, we need to save money not waste it and option 5 is more real than you know.

She is worthless. The food stinks, the merchandise is trash and only the board sees fit to prop her up. Some businesses just fail and the general store is one of them because of bad management. Get your rocks off all you like but not at public expense. Does your wife know?

Maybe the general store doesn't do well in the winter months but I don't believe it has anything to do with the management. I just don't feel that you should trash talk the lady working at the store. If the board is willing to pay her and keep the store opened it is not her fault.(I am the wife.)

The deal with the General store always stunk and at this time of budget shortfalls there is no reason to keep it open wasting money that could be used elsewhere.
If you read the newsletter you will note that a couple of months ago they mentioned that a company owning many lots is not paying the fees and it cost too much to take them to court so the little people will have to pay more to make up the difference. This from the POA lawyer who makes a very good salary btw.
