Carry a gun and teach your children gun safety.Shelly Sikes was run off the road in the 80's in southern TX. Nobody ever found her. This kind of thing has been going on to some extent for quite a while. At least this woman came out of it with her life.

If our borders were protected and our local law enforcement would concentrate on crime control instead of running all over the county searching for "pasture parties", this would not have happened.Never confuse law enforcement with crime control. The two are totally opposite. Law enforcement is just a means to raise funds for the county. It is safe and easy.Crime control is what we need. This is not just a Limestone county problem, but a nation wide problem.

They forgot to put in the story that they stabbed her with broken jagged beer bottles. It was a shocker, because around here nothing like this hardly ever happens.

I was just chewing some gum when I heard about this. I happen to think women walking miles away at six o'clock in the evening is inappropriate. The girl's eye ball must've been sitting out as far as a tightly, squeezed hamster's.

What I would like to know is why was she walking on the edge of the highway like that? Her fault entirely!

Hey lilacy read the damned story you fool! Her car was rammed run off the road, beaten covered in blood left for dead, then she crawled looking for help. Still her fault entirely? Are you saying a man has no choice. He see's a female and must rape then try to kill her. Ladies with idiots like this on our planet it's time to invest in a metal baseball bat and learn to swing it.

A metal baseball bat my butt, I think every woman should take a concealed weapons class and get licensed. This girl was lucky to get away with her life, but she will always live with what has happened to her. A woman does not go through something like that and forget that it happened.
Things like that don't happen around here, but we as women should always be prepared to protect ourselves. Take a concealed weapons class or a self defense class. Something, anything to learn to protect yourself.
