I hear that ResCare is being bought. Rumor is that we are going to be in trouble. Somethin about Medicaid

Well i don't have anything good to say about Outwood.. I hope they close the doors and find the patients a better place to live, This is my opinion anyway.. Daughter put alot of good years out there.. Outwood does not take care of their employees. And they abuse their own policies. But the employees never get to see a copy of the policy.. It is read to the employee and then they are made to sign a paper saying they read it. But a copy is not available for the employes to read.. Then if you get pregnant. my daughters supervisor told her she would have to quit and then come back and apply for your job back after the baby is born. And that she would not get maternity leave. I could go on and on. But as i say. I have nothing good to say about outwood.

i work at outwood and all places have rules and policies. my daughter too was pregnant when she worked out there. she worked weekends and her doctor said she could only work 8 hrs a day so she had to quit due to attendance issues. Outwood was good to her because they did hire her back like they said they would. i dont know your situation but ive been out there for several years and while everything is not good neither is it bad. All places of employment have their problems. And this is my opinion

Yes, all places of business have policies, rules, procedures, etc. However, fair enforcement of them seems to be lacking at Outwood-Rescare. Some ISS get away with sleeping, not showing up for work or not doing their job when they do, and other miscellaneous noncompliances. Others are gunned for by immediate supervisors who feel threatened by intelligence and hard work. Explains the high staff turnover - those who care about their work and the individuals are eventually terminated. Jodi does the best she can with biased info from those who work below her but it is a shame the individuals who live there must pay the price.

It's all about who you're buddies with at Outwood. If you're the boyfriend of a golden child, you can get away with verbally abusing the residents. Not cool.

i worked out there for a long time.. I worked 2nd and then 1st shift.. I came in on almost all my days off.. i got fired on my day off for something I never did.. they told me to finish my shift bc they had no one else to cover it but if i was such i bad person y did I stay and finish and y would they let me stay if i supposely abused the individual??? Outwood is FU*KED up.. I love all the residents out there and never would have harmed one of them!

Outwood is the biggest joke ever. Everyone is all about trying to get someone else in trouble. It is sad that employees act worse than individuals. Even the managers, especially Paul, will make fun of you and talk about you when he thinks your not around to hear. These people need to total wipe out of employees and start fresh.

It's surprising to me that they gave me a chance,I had a criminal record. I also tend to smoke pot on the daily. I appreciate the chance and the privacy. I think if you will just show up and put your time in you will always have a job.

I also have worked out there on day shift and it sux, they make you take those poor individuals out to the work centers in the hottest of days and the coldest of days, they don't care because if they go to the work centers they get more money, if they don't go they don't get any money. It"s a shame that the money comes before the individuals and half the time you don't even get your breaks out there. Someone need's to turn them in to the Labor Board. Some of the programs they write for them are almost impossible to follow, Res-care needs to be informed of what is going on out there.

They treat all the workers good. My mom has been workin out there for almost 15 years. The reason they fire people is if you mistreat the patients out there or if you ain't doing your job right. Outwood is a good place.

It won't be to much longer that your Mom won't be there.It's a proven fact that they get rid of all the old one and hir new ones.So they don't have to pay them so much'And yes they individuas are not treated right at all.But neither are the Employee's yes they need to be turned in and have been told that they have been here lately.That if so is a good thing.And no Outwood is not a good place.

Out of all the places ive worked...outwood would be the place i'd go back to. Ya there is a lot of bull that employees put up with but at the end of the day u know that u did it for that indiviual not the company you work for. If it wasn't forthe staff them indiviuals would not be where they r today....most of them wornderful ppl have been there all there life and thats there home....they don't care about the bull or your opinion. As long as they can live every day with someone to care and be there to help them grow and learn. or just sit and relax. So its not about the job it about the indiviual.....get over ur self and go to work. I miss them ppl!!!
