That is Alabama. The backwards South. Personally, they treat abuse of alcohol as morality issue rather than a disease or as bad personal choice that somebody made.

The problem is that their morality is driven by a book and addiction is a health issue and not issue of mortality.

The morality attitude drives more addiction and creates a public health problem. More evidence that shows you cannot use the bible to run the government and interfere with people's choice

This exemplifies the very type of lunatic fringe that Disco was identifying.

What is a man to you?
Why do call me a left coast loser?
What corrective action do I need to conform to your value system or earn your friendship?
Why do you think alcoholism is a morality? Where do you get the basis of your thinking and you m not take your opinion seriously and tell you cannot resort to the scripture for this one?

If you cannot answer those four questions, I am not going to take you seriously and I think you are the loser.

How can anyone rationalize banning alcohol sales on a Sunday as anything other than a violation of the 1st amendment?

Those of us who live here and buy alcohol don't see it as that big of a deal. Arab just went wet, Albertville is wet, Sardis is wet, I think the only city that is not wet is Boaz and it sits right between Albertville and Sardis, what 5-10 minutes either way and there's a liquor store. If you want to buy it, it's there. Unlike Ft. Payne where you have to drive to Chatanooga or Gadsden to get it. No big deal unless you want to open a club in Boaz and you can't. Boaz will eventually be wet.

Those of you who think southerners are the only ones being denied the opportunity to decide for themselves need to stop and think about seatbelts, helmets, auto insurance and soon to be health insurance and community service.Take a look at the level of oppression the fed is is placing on LEGAL marijuana users in Cali. It's sickening.Oppression is the only think Americans recieve equal treatment on.

I live in Alabama....it is backwards. A load of ignorant beings suffering from religious mania and psychosis. They need therapy and medication! I hate living here :(

Daily Horoscope for December 22

Pisces

You're lacking in energy and resources today, which will soon slow you down and make you feel as though you're wading through treacle. The only way to cope is to have as many breaks as possible, and not to set yourself impossible goals that you could never hope to meet. You're also very susceptible to the criticisms or put-downs of others, but do your best to ignore them.
