It is off! Landowner won't allow anyone on the property. I know a local cop and he says they are bringing in extra troopers for it. Supposedly moved to Preston County.

Still wondering where the new location for beerstock will be????? anyone?

some are saying masontown but its not at mountian top raceway i called the owner. im on a bunch of sites checking stuff out. please post any info you can get and i will do likewise thank you.

I just left barbour county on birds run rd. there will be a bunch of people gettin muddy. So if you want to get muddy come on down its on.Its all the way at the end of the hollow. The gates will open up tommarow afternoon for people to get in. See ya there!!!!!!!!!!

every one policed them selves there pretty good there are tagging this totalitarian position because some one died in a 4 wheeler accident.
he was not on the property where beer stock is held
his toxicology report showed no traces of alcohol or drugs and to further their position the state police said they had issued four or five d.u.i. that weekend which makes it like any other in the canaan valley area.
every body needs to vote this november at the local and state level.
i work at an establishment like many others in this community, who used that good shot in the arm of four thousand mudders decending upon us and spending their hard earned money here in our local businesses between tourist seasons.

we have over twenty here in town assisted by the national guard with road blocks (litterally 4 out of every 10 cars is an officer on the road this evening) our communities have lost over 40,000 dollars in revenues at the least this weekend.
it's matial law out here.
the only reason any of this is happening is due to out side influence.
you may find it hard to sell a 400,000 dollar home lot just out side of town with 4X4 mud bogs just down the road.
and with the govener taking a vested interest in the goings on of this areas local ecconomy there is no wonder such activities of extreme enforcement are taking place.

the kicker is while the cops are expending our tax money to cost our businesses and our citizens who rely on the income of those businesses that are spending up the taxes they have levied to pay a small militia all over people having fun.
it has been said that allegheny power is paying for all the meals that the troopers are eating whilst presenting them selves in over whelming force. if this true that is gratuitous and illeglal but nothing that would not be unexpected under the current govener or the federal administration.
if you beer stock lovers where serious you would organize yourselves as a group collection fees and use that money to purchase a single event insurance to the amount that would suffice the land owner and possibly use those funds to rent the property from the land owners for that weekend.

to all beerstock patrons and residents of thomas and davis. i find it to be a travisty about the actions taken on beerstock this year. being a resident of tucker county i feel that this could have been handled in a manner that would have been better for all beerstock goers and busisness in the area. the real sad thing is the unnessecary use of tax payers dollers and a down right FUCK YOU to all bussiness owners in davis and tomas. spring being the slowest season for busines and beerstock weekend being the only weekend out of this season that a real profit can be turned. any city official or council member that truly cares about its voters should know this and should have come up with a better solution. the fact that an event is'nt putting money into their own personal should not effect a decision that will have an impact on the entire community.yes allegany power has a right to say what goes down on their land, but seriously folks do you realy think that was the only influince behind what has taken place this weekend. as said in an above comment there are facts and we are not stupid. i erge everyone patrons and bussiness owners alike to speak out againt this back door act of marshal law. speak to your representitives. right the editor. post and publish as much as u can and to all u beerstockers out there....
