Edwin Lopez are you on drugs? He seemed very mild-mannered? Come on Leonides Pereira obviously had you snowed while he was out on bond (that you probably had your hands in) did you really think that he would "just say no"?

You don't know who shot him. How many bullets did he receive? I guess it's case closed now. Was it worth it? So sad when a life is lost No matter what the circumstances are. I'm Glad I do not get involved in any illigal stuff. My only crime is trying to make money to pay BILLS

Yes one less mess to ruin society. Latino most likely, they think laws do not apply to thme. All dealers should be hung in a public square. then you see our country start to recover from becoming a third world country. Small amount dealers should be humililated in public with the public urinating on them and then taking a baseball bat to them...THere would be no more drop problem here...

Still, a drug arrest with a "known" gun-toting felon in a high traffic family area is absolutely WHACK! Who's on drugs? Was the bust that important to do there and then if they were surveiling him for weeks? The cops are just as out of control as the criminals!

Reminds me of the lyrics to a song... "When every cop is a criminal, and all the sinners saints, as heads is tails just call me Lucifer,'cause I'm in need of some restraint"...

I agree with you on the "family area" thing. Seems like that could have found a better oppertunity.

Not a Friday night at 8p when there's a car show going on. Too many people around. Things are way out of control lately. Shame.

When the drug dealers demand that the transaction is done in an wide open area the dea has no choice but to go along because any hesition would make the drug dealer call off the deal so to answer you question yes the dea has to work this way and yes the busts are that important do you want the drugs to get onto the streets so they are ava. for the kids to get? leos keep up the good work and keep safe

SHOOT 'EM ALL!!

That way the Judges can't put them back on the streets after an expensive trial paid for by taxpayers.

Well........from experience, I can tell you that when law enforcement is dealing with drug dealers, you cannot tell them to meet you out in the middle of the Everglades in case there is a gun fight. The unfortunate reality is that drug dealers will not make a deal in a private out of the way location. They will meet in an open public place so they can see if they are about to be robbed or arrested. This is not Miami Vice, this is real life. In order to make some of these arrests, law enforcement must meet these people in places like a Home Depot parking lot. If they don't the deal will not go down. Then people will complain that law enforcement is not doing enough to get drugs off the streets. I guess some people just like to complain.........especially about things they know nothing about.
