I cannot believe you wrote what you did! It's NOT the woman's fault... the MAN has no control... Rape is an act of violence...it has nothing to do with the actual act of sexual relations. It's obvious to me that you need to be educated on this subject.

My thoughts are prayers are with the victim.

In a way I feel bad this happened to her but if you invite some strange guy whom you just met at a bar to come home with you after hours, you're just asking for trouble. I hope she learns from her mistake.

just b/c it's written in a pamphlet doesn't mean it's true......rape can very well be about sex. this women showed horrible lack of common sense and judgement.

HOWEVER, that certainly doesn't excuse this guy for rape. no matter what others may do to entice you, everyone has to control (and be responsible for) their own actions. i certainly hope the fire dept fires this guy if found guilty. what a terrible message that would be. police, fire, paramedics, etc are supposed to help others and be trustworthy.

what's with all this video game playing with adults? i liked them when i was 12, but just find them boring now. you go into these electronics stores and it's not teenagers playing them, but grown men.

This guy was recruited from Publix.

The article says that he was invited over for video games...but not for sex..That leads me to believe that the conversation had to involve some sort of cat and mouse, flirty games. It also states that her name is not being released...and also that he TRIED to rape her. So which is it? She suffered bruises and abrasions...where? I'm not saying he is innocent, but I would be curious to see what her name brings up if googled....perhaps other accuasations. I find it hard to believe that a firefighter would put his career on the line over something like this....I could be wrong though.

This fireman is typical of the minorities and Carribean hordes that people on the Sun-Sentinel complain are totally messing up S Florida living...
