Why don't you ask the owner, Austin Forman, why he would not allow the Davie Police Dept to patrol inside the complex. How come the police were only allowed to respond when someone made a call. Many questions go unanswered about that park and the owner of the park. Many very interesting questions. |

|
Officers were never forbidden to patrol that area. In fact, a few years ago the park complained that they didn't see officers in there for days and asked them to patrol more often.
I don't know if the sudden influx of residents with " year round tans " finally put the nail in the coffin for that place. No one will miss it and the Town of Davie will be better off without it. |

Its makes me very sad to hear about another park getting closed, either it’s a good one or bad. Let’s think about this, we now have almost 900 families which equal about 2500 man, women & child being told they might have less than 6 months to move.
The residents cannot sell there mobile homes, they most likely cannot move there homes due to the age factor of more than 10 years old. No park will accept them and they have no place to go. Like it or not, a home is a home is a home, monthly mortgage does not know if you live in a brick & motor home or a mobile home. What about the residents who less than a year ago purchased their home in Palma Nova? Is Mr. Forman planning to buy the homes back because maybe it was a secrete? Were the residents lied to by the management company who are trained to say,“This park is not closing”, or Caletka in a Town Council Meeting told a crowd of over 150 residents,“I speak with Mr. Forman just about every week and he tells me he is not closing his park for the next 25 years”. Is this the same Mr. Forman that perhaps been raising money for Caletka failed run for County Commissioner. If Caletka lied to his district residents about the conversation/truth just imagine him lying to all the residents of Broward County!!! So my fellow residents like it or not, it’s not a crime to be poor, it is not a crime for those living in mobile homes trying each day to put food on their family plates, clothes on their back and a roof over their heads (once again brick & motor or mobile home) so in our time of need lets practice some humanity and extend a helping hand to our friends and neighbors in Palma Nova. |

Dear ZZ TOP,
No it is not a crime to be poor. But there sure is a lot of crime coming out of that park. Any drug imaginable can be had there. Crack city baby. |

Who lives in a mobile home down here? I know people do, but jeez! I'd be terrified to live in a mobile home here, with the hurricane threats and all. Yikes!

Dear PWO,
I've always been told; only speak if you have first hand knowledge or experience, so you are telling me about your Crack city baby? I’ve been at that park many times preaching the gospel to the residents and like anywhere else drugs are everywhere even at the best known neighborhoods!!! |

That park is home to hundreds of cats...is someone going to relocate them also...or just leave them to starve
|
||||
Really? That's private gated property. The police are NOT permitted to enter and just patrol around in there. They do NOT have the owner's permission. The owner will NOT give permission. The only time the police can enter into that community is if someone places a call to the police for a specific incident. The owner of the park likes it that way. He's been asked to sign a form to allow them to patrol and he will NOT do it. |
||||
|
Dang it! This here is grade A bulllllcrap
|
||||
|
What are the plans for the property? Maybe the Forman family can sell it to the Broward County School Board at a highly inflated price for a new school. This is a family tradition.

This is fucked up, but then again everything revolves around money and Selling out make more money then keeping it open. So whats going up in it's pace a parking lot....what a joke.

Absolutely not true. They haven't had a shipment of peyote in months. No pipeline to the southwest. |

I am so sick of the racists and bigots on these forums.What ever happened to thy brothers keeper and do unto others.

Well, I, for one, am sorry for those who made such a bad bargain for themselves as buying property located in a trailer court. You are correct. They could live far far better outside a community in which you and many others on these boards reside. The problem has been convincing Froridians that there is a larger better world outside South Florida and that they should bail out. In time, the hurricanes will take came of Barbarosa, er, I mean, Barbarino and pals. Just wait and see... |

You all are a bunch of idiots these people are going to be homeless and the drugs on the streets not just confined to a park more junkies on the road. As for those that really did make a living a mobile home is cheap and offers all comforts. I myself would rather pay 600 and instead of 1600 a month so instead of criticizing the actual working people maybe open your doors instead of your mouths.
