Once again the Town's burgermeister has the right vision for this seaside village. Parker's "We're basically trying to make it a town square where people can congregate" illustrates that his desire to bring people together proves his popular vision is worthy of support.

He probably also sees this project being named as the Parker Portal. It certainly is large enough.

Taxpayers are concerned that the comedy team of Jerome and Jimmy (the Sigfried & Roid of local politics) will stand in the way of this most progressive plan to advance the Town. As one locally elected official said, "this is what happens when idiots take office".

If you really knew the truth you'd admit that Roy is not a Roid and is backing the Mayor just to see if he can survive abandoning McIntee's madness.

The student won the contest but Olie need votes, hence the local guy (who came in tied for 3rd) issue. Watching big Weasel Oliver dance has really gotten tiring for us locals. Olie did a lot of dancing even before McIntee came along.

These idiots holding office are all dancing like chickens on a hot plate. It is all so sad as much as it is all so funny. At least OP is trying to bring things together in his own ham-handed way. Perhaps less dancing and more accomplishment will right this sinking ship.

Let's see if the wrenchmen can throw one in the works of the portal project again to keep it from happening. Some people just want no change at all...

And yes mayor Parker, the Master Plan Steering Committee did present you and the Commission with a number of options and the commission chose. Why is Sandra Booth taking so much heat?

Saw the interiordigs.com link and just loved, the design. This town needs to move in the right direction and not waste any more time. They will lose their beautification grant if they keep talking about it meeting after meeting. The decision has been made, just get it done. It will be a wonderful "open" place to come and enjoy the beach. A welcome change from that run down and neglected structure that is there now!

Stop all the politics and get on with the business at hand and build the "winning" pavilion. It's got my vote. Nice clean lines, modern, practical and an overall great design for this town. We need to more forward, not backward. Interiordigs.com site is great. Check it out.

Everyone knows the best place to congregate in LBTS is "The Fountains lounge" in the Publix's shopping center. God I miss that place.

Bad news: Fools ferment in an environment of tolerance. The old dogs lack the collective cajones to properly expose the two embarrassers for what they are.
Good news: Sigfried and Roids' support is failing by its own lunacy. The citizens are realizing that their smoke and mirrors are misdirecting sense and sentiment have spoilt the beauty of the Town.
