I can't say I feel much sympathy for rapists who are truly guilty of the offense, but it sounds like this woman was a vigilante trying to start trouble. Several years ago a vigilante from Nova Scotia pulled a list of 22 sex offenders' names from the internet and went on a killing spree. He shot two dead before killing himself to avoid capture. One of his victims had been a registered sex offender for several years because when he was 19 he had a relationship with a 16 year old girl. That is not even a crime in every state, and the vigilante likely only had a vaguely worded charge listed on the website to use as judgement. In the end some self-serving ego-fueled "good guy" murdered a broken down, innocent "bad guy" and the same people who cheered that killer will cheer for this Parkhurst woman.

People are put on RSO lists today for consensual acts with people of the SAME AGE, urinating in public, and the age-old traditions of "streaking" and "mooning" which were normal for our parents' age but is a "sex crime" for our age. I'd guarantee that every person alive today has ancestors who'd be guilty of "sex crimes" under our current laws, and most of us would only have to look back a few generations to find cases of "statutory rape" concerning "child brides". The opinions opf what is normal, natural, an acceptable have changed, but laws and opinions do not change biology. I don't know if this craaziness is a belated backlash from the '60s "free love" era or something darker, but lives are being thrown away at an increasing rate in this social experiment just so cowards can feel safe from the boogey-man.

The people who commit violent acts won't get an abundance of sympathy from me, but neither will vigilantes who want to pose a threat to all RSO's just to make themselves feel big. Most people listed as RSO's are victims, not victimizers, and the few decent people who fight against these puritan witch-hunter "sex laws" are tirelessly fighting an uphill battle against blood-thirsty bible thumpers and political opportunists.

If you consider yourself a good person, then try giving some serious thought to this issue and not assume that all RSO's are monsters. As Nietzsche said, "Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster."

Today's Salem Witch is the sex offender. They just have to BE to become a raving vigilante's target. This is a familial multi-generational issue and needs to be treated and healed as such.

Read the research folks! Sex offenders and their victims DO survive and become healthy, happy, productive human beings!

I agree. Let's just shoot all those gosh darn sex offenders. How about we start with those two Davie cops Stephen Kenneth Olenchak, and Jonathan D. Sanders who have been accused of sex offenses. Sanders forced a woman to perform oral sex on him according to news articles. He plead guilty to unlawful compensation, and the town of Davie settled with the woman for an undisclosed amount. She was asking for $15,000. Olenchak allegedly raped a female family member while his wife and 4-year-old son slept next to them in the same bed, according to police interviews with his wife and the alleged victim, who was 19 at the time. His trial is coming up. Next we could shoot people who beat their spouses like Davie cop Vally Getejanc.

I wonder what Valerie Parkhurst has to say about these cops raping people in her town? Would she run them out of town too with a gun? Heck, one of them already cost the taxpayers of Davie a chunk of money because he had to force someone to perform oral sex on him.

I read a study which states at least 1 out of 6 cops is a sex offender or will commit a sex in their lifetime. Doesn't make me feel very safe.

Valigator should definately be on a registry. We decent folk need to know about those who pose a REAL DANGER to our communities. Since the state has failed to give us a Vigilante Registry, I think I'll create one, and since it's public information anyways, I don't see any legal issues with it. Stay tuned......;)
