Go for it. There are other reasons as well that you all should consider. People can come out of the parking lot drunk from all night partying and go straight across to by pass any DUI taskforces that may be set up along 441, Griffin rd & Stirling rd’s

Helloooo... Dania has no beach! The beach belongs to the City of Hollywood which leases it to Dania on a 99-year lease.

Block one entrance and get some relief from this, but gates don't belong on public streets. If there are gates, that property is privatized - private property belongs to somebody, has value and should be taxed.
BTW, nobody wants your traffic on their street either, so should there be gates on every street?

Just installing a bunch of Speed Bumps will resolve the speeding problem.

The kids and pedestrians alike need some solitude in life when it comes to traffic. Such as children playing in the street when there is no immediate park around. And I think I’m going to do the same thing in my DISTRICT>*< And the No. No one can come in or out without someone watching them. And it will ultimately stop or even slow the progression of CRIME in any particular neighborhood... The rich folks have there gated communities so why can’t the average home owner have the same say so???

It's not up to nearby property owners to decide what to do with a PUBLIC street. There might be a legitimate reason to make changes, but that's for the city to decide with the greater good in mind.

LUCKY FOR YOU wrote: Such as children playing in the street when there is no immediate park around. Kids don't belong in the street, period. Parents don't seem to teach their kids any respect for other people's property any more. They're hitting other people's cars with footballs, walking on and letting their dogs relieve themselves on neighbors' lawns, etc. like it's all public property.

What you're really expressing is frustration that government is failing deal with crime and rubber stamping too much new development. Good point about rich folks gating themselves. We'd have gridlock if everybody did it and personally I don't think gates belong on any street. Gates on streets = private property = value = taxes. Let's start collecting it and lower taxes other taxes. My attitude is if I can't freely drive down somebody else's street, I don't want them on mine either. I do feel these people are getting shafted and shuld get some help.

I know, we should shut up. We should have known that one day the indians would build a hotel and casino and therefore we have no rights to peace and quiet in Dania Beach! I got an idea. Lower my taxes by half and I will only expect half in return but until such time, I pay my taxes just like everyone else and I expect 100% equal in return. I hope they stick it right up the rear ends of the Hard Rock. It's time the people run this place. Go for it!

Why should other tax payers pay to fund a gate for your block? I live on a dead end street and have lots of traffic and speeders on my block, should we block off the only opening on my block so nobody can get in and out of their homes... If you dont like whats going on in your community, then move.
