This weekend I was visiting my daughter who lives on Jordan Road. The speed limit in front of their house is 35...which shocks me, because it should be 25. They are continually having accidents on that road, and as a matter of fact not to long ago a man was killed on a motorcycle. I was the witness to a horrible incident on Saturday the 10th of February. I was in the front yard waiting for my dog to go to the bathroom, when I heard a screeching noise...I looked up, just to see a red car come flying around the corner...at least 70 - 80 mph..he hit the telephone pole on the other side of my daughters home, and then flew over the neighbors driveway to land in the ditch, about 60 feet in front of me. I am shocked that the authorities haven't done anything about this area. The speed limit should be 25 mph, and there should be a couple of speed bumps. I feel that I could have been the next victim, and if the ditch wouldn't have held the car back...I would have been.

Our family lives in Granite Falls, we have been here going on 3 years now. In the time we have been here I don't think I could count the number of near accidents I have seen on 92 coming home. Well it finally happened, my wife was driving home east on 92 approaching 147th, there was a driver sitting there waiting to come out onto 92, he waited just until my wife got to 147th and then he decided to pull out giving my wife no where to go except into the side of his vehicle. The other driver looked at my wife and then sped away, there were three witnesses that stopped but nobody thought fast enough to get the license number of the other vehicle. It is time for people to stand up and be accountable for their actions, especially when someone could be hurt.People we all need to show some patients on the road,by the way the truckers are no better.

If the car was going 70-80mph in a 35mph speed zone, I doubt very much lowering the speed limit to 25 mph is going to make a bit of difference. A speed bump or median circle would make a bigger positive impact.
