Ex-school employee in Darien pleads guilty to embezzlement
A former Darien school employee pleaded guilty Tuesday to embezzling as much as $100,000 in district funds as compensation for working extra hours.

Today, we live in a society where people believe they will never get caught stealing money, especially where they work at. Just like the employee at Chase Bank in Chicago, who stole money for a senior citizen's account. What happen to, if I need extra cash, get a second job or look for job that pays more.
When it comes to stealing money, people will investigate. |

My thoughts exactly. I'd be curious how a bookkeeper could "bury" $100,000 of transactions over a 4 year period and not have anyone catch it soon, particularly the auditors and/or CFO. |

My wife & I are on social security & live on 1/3 of her annual pay. Why did she think she needed so much more?

She stole from the CHILDREN. Somebody must have been helping her. There are more rats in that hole trust me.
Don't worry, you citizens can afford much more waste and graft than you are already paying for in Illinois. Who was her boss? That person should be fired too. For not looking out for our kids. |
