Cars are weapons and should be treated as such.

3 months is a pittance for his reckless actions. add the drugs in his system and the car becomes a weapon, and he should be charged as such. really tired of this kind of BS where somebody takes the life of another due to their own gross negligence / lack of responsibility & in this case illegal drug use and then gets a nominal sentence. maybe someone will 'return' the favor and crash land their over-sized SUV on top of one of his parents' cars...morbid but maybe then he'd have a better appreciation for the pain his actions caused.

Thank you. the pain the loss of this wonderful man has caused, the family rifts and sadness tainting every day of his loved ones lives is immense. Although I appreciate when we are young we all do stupid things however people have haevier sentences for stealing objects never mind a father, husband, brother, son and friend. I hope Charles can live with that!

It's really too bad that anyone would ever think that he doesn't have any remorse for what happened - it is called an accident for a reason, and if you knew this family you would know that they would never do anything intentionally to harm anyone... ever.

Bottomline was that this rich kid was high and tired; and he killed a father of small children. I hope that the family of the murdered dad makes his family pay big-time through a civil action.
He really should go to prison for a few years; what a joke. It just shows what money can buy. If this was a poor kid from the inner city that did this he would be going to prison for 15 years!!!

This is the same judge who gave another DRUNK DRIVING MURDERER zero jail time also.He must really have a thing for Darien and Wilton men,it seems when you come from those towns you'll be given clemonsy to ANYONE you wanna murder. When you keep giving out "sentences" like these are you really shocked..?I could go to jail LONGER for selling FAKE DRUGS then killing a father of 3..
