Good Monday Morning Everybody!
Had a busy weekend. Took my son to see Speed Racer, it's OK, but way too long, and the story line is hard for anyone under 30 to follow. Lots of restless kids in the theater for about 2 and a half hours.
Saturday morning we added a member to our family.
We rescued a beagle named Dexter from a shelter.
His name is Dexter and he is about 5 yrs old.
My son absolutely loves him, and he seems to be adjusting to our family pretty well.
Saturday night we had kind of a "date night" with me and my wife, my brother and sister-in-law, and my brother-in-law and his girlfriend.
We went to see "What Happens in Vegas" and it was quite possibly the worst movie I have ever seen in my life.
How was everybody else's weekend?

Morning Sorgi! We had a beagle names Roscoe and he was the best dog I ever had. He was great with kids and kind and gentle. Sounds like Dexter will be the same. Enjoy him!! I may have to get my son-in-law to take his son to Speed Racer, doesn't sound like one that I want to sit thru. What did you think of the Survivor finale?

Hello, everyone! I had a great weekend.:) My good friend got married on Sat. and it was by far the most beautiful outside ceremony! It was at the Oakhill Mansion and we couldn't have asked for a better day. On the other hand, on Sunday my wood floors got b/c a window of mine doesn't have a place for the water to drain out..so it just pools up and then comes into the house. I wanted to scream.

Off to the old drawing board. I'll check back in later! Sorgi, congrats on your new addition! Beagle pups are really stinkin' cute and great family dogs.

Er....'wood floors *got wet*'...silly keyboard.

Finale was OK.
Missed the first half hour because we had Mother's Day dinner at the in-laws.
It has been tradition for a couple of years now for my brother-in-law and I to cook the Mother's Day dinner. We fire up the grill and have a big cookout. We didn't let the wind and rain stop us yesterday. We got cold and wet, but hey, tradition is tradition.
I wasn't terribly surprised that the jury was as angry as they were, but I was kinda expecting Amanda to win.
Do you think Ozzie and Amanda are going to be the new "Rob and Amber"?

We cooked out in the rain and wind yesterday too. Mother Nature can't stop us!!!! I didn't watch the last hour. I have it on my DVR, did they ask them about their relationship. I think they are cute together.

The Post Office is raising the price of stamps again.
I am not really complaining about the penny, because I send very little mail, but one would think that in a electronic society, where almost everything can be done without the Post Office, that raising the cost of their services would possibly give people a reason NOT to use them.
If they want to raise revenue, maybe they should increase the postage rate for junk mail.

I didn't watch the reunion show yet either. It was past my bedtime. I'll watch it tonight.

As we get older (over 30 and beyond) is it still considered wrong or taboo to put out on the first date?

Nope. It takes more than a wet car and knowing the winner of survivor to ruin my day.
