Teen charged as an adult in Good Samaritan shooting

This is such a sad world that we live in.

Was the teen a male or female? By the very feminine spelling of "Dominique", I would guess female, as a male would be "Dominic". I know Romanian, French-Canadian, Swiss, American women who all have the name "Dominique". Not to mention Olympic gymnasts Dmoinique Dawes and Dominique Moceaneu. But, if this is a typical urban ghetto youth, his mama just picked the name du jour without a thought that it is most assuredly feminine. Kind of like a "Boy Named Sue", but then again, I don't recall Johnny Cash murdering someone, either. What a sick world

Staten is not a hispanic name, like (Staten island), rather an unusual surname for the midwest, more likely German or one of the other European names, Dominique could be one of several other languages,..French..Hungarian. .even Italian. Or it could possibly be a simple mispelling on the part of the writer.
The jails have a fairly good percentage of Euro descended, offenders in it's population...as well! Want to send them back to Europe?

Wow now we are being arrested for protecting ourselves? Either the story is wrong or the prosecutor is wrong.

it doesn't matter what nationality the shooter is, they deserved to be charged as an adult. they committed an adult crime therefore they should do the time. but, in all reality he will probably get 2-3 years and be back out by the time he 21 or younger to do it again.

if you followed the story the man arrested was robbing the victims friend, when the victim pulled a legealy carried weapon the suspect fired and killed the hispanic victim. So to answer your question no we are not being srrested for self defence.

Who cares ? dim wit.

Of course the punk should do the time for the crime. Lets look at facts in the case. First a 16 year old can not legally carry a weapon. He shoots a man during who is trying to defend a friend during a robbery. Which part of this case needs any further explaination???? Street thugs want to act like they are all grown up only to cry to mamma when the get busted and are held accountable for their actions.

I think that is wrong for him to be sent to jail for being a good samaritan he shouldn't go to jail for that he was trying to stop someone from being robbed you guys don't want anything right you always want to put someone away for things you feel that is not right sorry for the family but he did the rght thing.
