In Jeffersonville, Georgia there lives a man who was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. It's a pretty common charge in these parts, and no one questioned the validity of the charges, especially considering that the person charged could be classified by many people as an 'outsider', or one of those 'counter-culture' people. After all, there have been a lot of complaints about those “Yonders” out on highway 18 in Jeffersonville. Some people call them dirty or nasty, others avoid them like they have a disease, while some don't seem to care or even to notice, while some people accept and often visit them, and others actually love them. Some people have realized that even though a different way of living may not be for them, personal growth and knowledge can always be obtained through open mindedness and acceptance. There have even been newspaper and television news stories covering 'Yonder's Farm' by the local media. Back then, even though they were different, the 'Yonders' were accepted, or at least tolerated. Then a new sheriff came to town, and Twiggs County changed for everyone who believes in liberty and freedom.

You see, there is a man named Curt (or Kurt) Lucas who lives in Twiggs County and sells drugs. He also works for the road department, a position vacated when Mr. Lucas' father died. I should mention that his brother is a deputy for Twiggs County. I should also mention that he is on probation. Perhaps I should also mention that he has been caught red handed by the sheriff's department violating his probation with no consequences (smoking marijuana behind the Huddle House on 96). Anyway, a few years ago, Mr. Lucas became a professional crack head, and stole many of his father's belongings to sell for money to buy crack. He was caught, and reported that one of his father's chainsaws had been sold to David Breedlove for money to buy crack for him and his girlfriend. So, of course the cops show up and kick a bunch of old hippies to the ground, and at least two went to jail. During the search, an ankle-high marijuana plant was found growing out of a trash pile. Mr. Breedlove was charged with manufacturing. However, the deputies left a four foot plant in another trash pile. It was later destroyed, but not until photos were taken by Mr. Breedlove's attorney. Which leads us to the sheriff's problem. Mr. Breedlove has a lawyer. And a very good lawyer at that, and two years later his lawyer – ON TWO SEPERATE OCCASIONS – had the prosecutor ready to drop the case BECAUSE THEY DO NOT HAVE ONE!! Fearing a loss, and the fact that Darren Mitchum ran his campaign with one of his promises being that he would run Mr. Breedlove out of town, Darren Mitchum OVERSTEPPED the boundaries of the law – BROKE THE LAW – by falsely accusing an innocent man of no less than twelve felonies involving unspeakable crimes against children. When the warrants for his arrest were signed, he was out of town on a yearly spiritual retreat out west. On his way home, he happened to call a friend, and heard that he was wanted by the authorities for sexual crimes, at which time he decided that coming home would be a bad idea, and found a safe place for himself to hide. Well, now it gets really good. I have in my hands the evidence that absolutely clears Mr. Breedlove of ANY wrongdoing. This evidence also CLEARLY shows two innocent and horribly abused children being horribly mistreated by the people who are supposed to be taking care of them. The adults in these videos spend more time trying to convince the children that Mr. Breedlove did bad things to them. However, THE TRUTH SHALL SET YOU FREE!!! People have been threatened with arrest for possessing this video, but Mr. Breedlove's attorney has assured me of my safety. I am preparing to go to the national media, and with the help of MY attorney, I plan to vindicate an innocent old man, and see to it that Darren Mitchum has to answer for breaking the law, and having these children mistreated and attempting to manipulate them after taking them from their mother. Please keep in mind, these charges were ALL DROPPED when an honest judge watched the videos, and now he is being harassed also. I pledge to EXPOSE the sheriff's office for all it's wrongdoings. We're just getting started. See you soon.

To be fair it was not the Sheriff that brought those phony charges against me, but DEFACS. There was never a report made, and no evidence presented, and the arrest warrant that was signed by a deputy had been dropped. For the last twenty years the local Department of Family and Children Services (DEFACS) has been on a relentless campaign to remove children from Yonder's farm believing that it is not a good environment for children; but children have grown up there and have all done well. None have gone to prison, none have been anything but good citizens. My children are well heeled, well dressed, and hold important and lucrative positions in society, from aircraft pilots to biologists and pipe-line supervisors. I may be a grubby recluse, and a schizophrenic, but I raised my kids right, and now have six very sweet grandchildren. I am not a bad man. I have lived for twenty years in the same place and never been convicted of any crime, not even a misdemeanor, or DUI, or even a traffic ticket. I have been a good citizen and allowed people on my farm that had no place to live or are not capable of caring for themselves. I helped to start the mental-health center in Jeffersonville that has helped many like me. Now I can't come home because of a bench warrant against me for failure to appear on a phony drug charge that I had thought had been satisfied, and should have been dropped when I passed a hair follicle test to prove my innocence. There are two reasons that I am sending this out to you. One is to set the record straight that it was not our sheriff that did me wrong, and two, All I want for Christmas is to come home and be safe, and not go to jail. Please pray for me that this case is dismissed. Thank you-- David Breedlove

Perhaps you are right, perhaps not. On this side of the tracks it is well known that Darren ran his campaign partly on the promise of running you out of town and shutting down the farm. Him not signing the warrants only means that someone else did his bidding - otherwise he would be doing his job and punishing the deputies involved as well as making sure that DeFACS stops harassing people without just cause. Make no mistake, Darren Mitchum doesn't care about enforcing the law - otherwise YOU would be home and safe right now. But I could be wrong. So, now is the time for the correct action to be taken. I'll put my faith in the man one more time. Crimes have been commited against Mr. Breedlove by the Twiggs County Sheriff's Department and the Twiggs County Department of Family and Children Services and we call upon the sheriff of Twiggs County, Georgia to uphold his oath, and prosecute each and every person who was (is) willing to - and TRIED TO - send an innocent man to prison. Uphold the law Darren. YOU TOOK AN OATH. Lots of people are going to be watching soon.

All I want for Christmas is to come home and be safe, and not go to jail. Please pray for me that this case is dismissed. Thank you-- David Breedlove Nobody should bear false witness against us, Yonder... I'll testify as a character witness... & bring evidence as to the commitment to honesty and fairness that you've always shown to those around you. Whether you are a good person isn't what matters, but whether you do good things... I was very surprised to learn of your claims that you'd helped to set up the mental health facility... when I asked you to take me down there, you said something quite different. When I had 10 years sober, you gifted me with homelessness, and threatened to call the sheriff on me for being in the house that I built... And wrote threats to my web-hosts to stop my begging for help... When you do bad things, expect bad things in return... Whether you did any of the things that you are currently suspected of is less the issue [to me] then the fact that you've gone out of your way to injure those who trusted you. You don't seem to have much of a grasp on honesty... It's easier to believe what's being said than your claims (again) that people are slandering you. I haven't been able to come home since about '04... It sounds like you've been given a valuable opportunity to empathize with me and how terrible I feel about having been unjustly evicted from my home after putting tens of thousands of hours of work into creating something beautiful.

hi,my name is lillith snyder... i have lived in twiggs county for 18 years,12 of which were spent within the community of jeffersonville...i am the mother of five children raised on the yonderfamily farm...i brought the children to the farm in order to be home with them, school them myself and teach them the how to live in harmony with nature...we were led there after some years of struggling to keep the home we had built, and after experiencing the horrors of public schools such as headlice, scabies, need i say more?i desired to stay home with my children...my baby was only three...my prayers were answered when i came to the yonderfarm...david breedlove was the sole owner of this agricultural landtrust and it was managed with the help of his sons, and daughter, with whom i formed a familial bond...without their generosity and understanding,we could not have experienced life as beautifully... we would have been damned to an existence in low-standard housing, surrounded and plagued by the evils of the city...when our new sheriff gained office, his main objective had to be ridding our county of an evil called 'meth'...kudos to him and his force for a job well done..however,he came to the farm on some false lead and discovered a random plant in the community area gardens..yonder has this'open door' policy, that allows many people reprieve for a period of healing, and unfortunately, from time to time, allows thieves or drunks to take advantage of those who have vested time and energy in the land...it is not so strange that the sheriff found marijuana, but to try to say it was yonder's is absurd...i tell you this, yonder does not,has not been a smoker in the many yrs that i have known him,and to say that he would be foolish enough to endanger his home in this way is an insult to his above average intellegience...yonder has been accused of growing marijuana, and i stand true to my word that i do not believe that is true, but even worse,he was brought up on charges of child molestation, just as he was getting these prior allegations dropped for lack of evidence...i feel as though this was an attempt to keep him from showing in court, thereby calling for a benchwarrant, that could not be recalled, even as the charges of molestation were dropped, making it impossible for this man that i love as a father to come home to his land...i left the land when my marriage of twenty yrs dissolved, and went to jacksonville,Fl.to restructure my life...on my return to the farm i was confronted with the charges of molestation against yonder...i eagerly set ou to clear his name...i knew in my heart that these allegations were absolutely false...having four daughters,i would have known if there were a thread of indecency in any man, yonder was a father and a grandfather, held my children and rocked them to sleep...i could not keep quiet, especially after hearing all the facts...i went to judge david brown as he was presiding over this case...i knew him to be of good moral character the moment that our eyes met...i sensed a kind and gentle spirit, that knew of jesus and his lesson of love...as i told him my story,i knew that he,too, had no desire to see anyone suffer consequences that were undeserved...this was a man that would put his own son in jail to keep him from harming others, proving he had true justice in his heart...he opened his eyes to the evidence presented and saw the absurdity of the allegations against david breedlove, dropped the charges and cleared an innocent man's name...as of late,i hear that he is being ostracized by the community that would put him in office,by the very church he attends...how can this be?...are we so eager to believe that someone is guilty of evil because they are different, that we doubt the judgement of those whom we,ourselves, assign judge?...<br/>what do you think?should i bother?

From what I've heard - it has become quite impossible for the sheriff's department to further victimize the citizens of Twiggs county. I hear that they are actually having to produce evidence supporting the warrants now, which has seriously slowed the arrest rate. Seems someone else is tired of the good ol' boy mafia running things......

When I was a child in primary class the lesson of Adam and Eve and the “fall” was taught to me in this way. God puts this tree in the midst of the garden; it is pleasant to the eye, taste good, and is purported to make one wise; wise as the gods, knowing good from evil. This is a test—this is only a test; (a sting operation if you will) to see if man will obey. It is obedience that is the issue for children in primary class. I never heard the deeper meaning ever taught—that it is the knowledge of good and evil—the stuff that makes you believe you are as gods—it has nothing at all to do with obedience. It is this idea that what is right for me must be right for you. If you believe this is right then anyone who does differently must be wrong--not does it work well, not does it provide Peace and happiness—but is it right? This is the knowledge of good and evil—that other tree in the garden—you shall become as gods, knowing good from evil. When you eat of that tree you think you are as gods knowing good from evil, and because you think your way is the right way then you must require all others to follow that way; either by love and conversion, or by force and coercion. If this book is not right for me you must burn it. If this herb gives you joy, peace and happiness apart from that which is right—then you must burn it. Have you ever thought of why cops burn crops of marijuana that they find? It is the same reason that the Catholics burned the Arian gospels; the same reason that old Polycarp on his eightieth birthday, John Huss, Jerome, and Saint Joan of Arc, and thousands of others were burned—the same reason some believe God burns people in hell—the knowledge of good and evil. Everyone who has ever gone to church school has heard the story how Samuel tells Saul to go slay the tribe of the Amalekites right down to the last animal. Complete genocide is required on all, but Saul allows for spoil and he saves out the King and the best of the animals to burn for a sacrifice, and Samuel bumps him from being King explaining that to obey is better than to sacrifice. This is a lesson programmed into every little child’s mind.“To obey is better than sacrifice”
This is a lesson taught to the little kids in Sabbath school, the emphasis is on obedience; the kids are taught that to obey is the big thing, to mind your mommy and daddy, and teacher and the policeman. When these young children grow up they too might be required to fight for God and their country. They must learn early to have no mind of their own, but to obey authority blindly, even to the point of committing murder or genocide upon those sinners—the knowledge of good and evil--those evildoers are the enemies of God and their country. It is the knowledge of good and evil that rules the world; the rulers of this world could not rule without it, for it is this knowledge that is rule. Any rule is good for some, evil for others—to be wise as gods, knowing good from evil, to be like the most high and know what is right to do and what is wrong to do—and require that others do accordingly; this is rule. God knew it would be this alone that would destroy the seed of Adam. Of this tree thou shalt not eat.

It is indeed time the truth were to come out, I've tried & tried to engage Yonder in a discussion about him throwing people out of the homes we built, & for some insane reason, people keep telling me and everyone else that it didn't happen! The judge down at the Twiggs county courthouse hasn't told me that I'm not thrown out... As far as I can determine, I'll be arrested if I try to go home to the beautiful solar powered house & plant nursery that I spent 15 years & everything I had creating. Before Yonder tries to make out like people are trying to get him, why not make things right with the people he's wronged? Reminds me of the story of the man who was forgiven his debt, only to harass the people who owed him. I was there when Lilith was thrown out, I don't know what Yonder promised her to get her to defend him, I really wish she would stand in solidarity with the other permanent members of the community who were turned out of their homes. There is no community when people with significant investments are suddenly turned out of their homes. Yonder, stop pretending like the community is out to get you... I haven't heard that anyone in the larger community of Jeffersonville has gotten a better deal from you .... The seed store showed people what kind of bargains you make, and that didn't last long in spite of being given a pre-existing customer base.

I have known Mr. David Breedlove since about 1993 when we were doing forestry contracts for the state of Georgia, thinning and tree planting and some chemical herbicide applications for young pine and hardwood plantations. Mr. Breedlove has always been a polite and decent gentleman around me and my children and wife. I continue to do work in the state of Georgia, and at times I check in and visit David Breedlove. Although it is obvious that he has a old fashioned existence and at times allows folks that have been on the road stay at his humble farm, I have never witnessed him to do any drug dealing of any kind or have I ever seen any form of abuse of children from him or anyone at his farm. In fact I have a picture on the wall of my house with my two oldest children now in their twenties, with a deer that Mr. Breedlove was nursing back to health. When my children were babies and young children, Mr. Breedlove traveled extensively with us doing forestry work and living in forestry camps. Through the years we have done forestry work on projects for folks like Zell Miller and Jimmy Carter, Chuck Lovell of Dry Branch and most of the clay companies in Georgia. Many of your own hometown citizens would attest to Mr. Breedlove as a kind and caring person and citizen of the State of Twiggs County Georgia.

In January the Judge called me on my cellphone and promised to drop the bench warrant if I come back to town and appear in court, which I did and he did. Thank you all for your prayers. Today, April 1, 2009 the Judge handed down a ruling in my case, in deference to an agreement presented by my attorney from the Sheriff; that if I leave town for five years all charges against me will be dropped.

There were three rules when i lived on Yonders farm, they were very simple.DON'T EAT SHIT AND DON'T BOTHER PEOPLE were two of which you always had a hard time with stone. I think i was the only person with the patience to hang out with you.In doing so I learned alot.I also came to the realization of how you aquired the quite fitting name of Stone.I think you one day will look back at yondo's farm as a lesson in life that was dealt with gentle hand, one not normally dealt in most places. On a more positive note my farm will be accepting new members as of next year. Send application with a photo and $5000.00 for the honor of owning a piece legally. That brings me back to the third rule which was pay $50.00 a month or do some charitable work for the community. Now I don't know if a giant hole on a hill constitutes community service, but you did try on that account. Everything I did out there improved the property. Yonder chose to evict me from my beautiful home & garden, refusing to deal with the situation in any fair way... Instead I've been subject to personal criticisms that simply have no basis. People have publicly denounced me for complaining about being robbed of my home... claiming that I was not thrown out! http://stone.comuf.com//kellies-post.html Yonder's gone out of his way to minimize the work I did out there, trying to make out like I injured the property somehow, by asking his son to protect the drinking water! Somehow asking that Andy respect the spring I dug, and piped out for community use seems to qualify me as breaking the "DON'T EAT SHIT AND DON'T BOTHER PEOPLE" rule! I think not. I spent huge amounts of time creating beautiful space out there... & Yonder decided to take it from me by the letter of the law, & didn't have the decency to admit that he'd thrown me out when I asked people to talk to him! Yonder broke his own rule. Face it, Mitchum had the goods on Yonder. Yonder's had pot growing next to his place before. The first time, I believed him when he claimed that it wasn't his, that he'd not even noticed it... These stories get old, especially after all of the crazy stories he's been telling about me when all I wanted was to not be thrown out of the house and garden I built... while buying in.... To be able to discuss the fact that I was thrown out while being told in public forums that Yonder didn't know what I was talking about! Small wonder that Yonder has no credibility in Jeffersonville.

Frog-catcher... What were you trying to do with the above post? Help Yonder? Harm me? Isn't it time that Yonder's friends start thinking about whether his stories make sense before parroting what he tells you? I built a passive solar house with a solar array on the roof... After throwing me out of my home, Yonder claimed to be running an eco-community! I created a half-acre of hand-dug raised beds in my fenced in organic garden, I brought in 700-800 truckloads of soil amendments to get those beds to produce... Yonder wrote a blog claiming that my garden harmed the property, and then put up a website claiming an interest in gardening! For 15 years visitors complained that there weren't more people out there doing the kinds of community improvement they saw me doing... Yonder calls me a free-loader who doesn't do enough! What is it... opposite day at the Yonderfamily community? When I got sober, I started paying my land payment with a postal money order... I think a subpoena of Yonder's banking records would show my monthly payments... When this trouble began, Yonder's son Andy was cashing our land payment checks. The missing funds are due to Andy.... Tell Yonder to get Andy to give the money back. Yonder seriously needs acknowledge that it was very wrong to throw permanent members of the community out of our homes to make room for the new people... that got Yonder thrown out of Jeffersonville.

My son and his family were staying on the farm for a while, just last year, and we went for a visit. It was wonderful! The first time we went, yes we went more than once, Yonder had a little cookout for us and played his guitar and sang. Treated us just like family. Another time we went, we helped plant some vegetable plants in a huge garden they had, so they could grow some food for the community and share with the town. He even went with us to Atlanta and what a wonderful time we had! He is a very good man and I do not and will not ever believe the things that he is being charged with by the local sheriff. Spent a lot of time around Yonder, talking to him, and I guarantee you he is not a drug user, now he will drink a beer, but drugs? NO WAY!! If it wasn't for him I don't think I would even have my son. So, thank you Mr. Yonder! And as for the child thing, please, he is so gentle and helpful with those children He loves them as if they were his own. If anyone hurt or bothered one of them, he would not tolerate it and they would not be welcome on Yonder's Farm! It's just that simple. It really hurts to know that they are trying to do these things to him, just because, in my opinion, they want his land. Get a grip people, why don't you get together with him and try to make your world a better place, instead of padding your pockets?! My husband and I are tax paying, law abiding citizens and it disgusts me to see what your county is doing to this man! I will be more than happy to speak with anyone, or testify on his behalf. WE LOVE YOU YONDER!!!
Yonder has never kicked anybody out for not paying rent. He has let freeloaders live off him for years. The only time anyone has ever been asked to leave is if they hurt or bother someone else, especially women or children, or women with children, or women with a husband--he hates adultery and child abuse and that's about the only thing he does not tolerate on his farm. He puts up with drunks and rude people all the time; homeless bums can freeload all they want; but if you are a danger to one of the least you are gone--no matter how much you have contributed.
