Full story: www.siouxcityjournal.com

Three construction workers died trying to save a fourth man who fell into a collapsing trench, according to officials in northeast Nebraska. The Knox County Sheriff's office said the four men were working on the drainage trench Friday morning when a part of it collapsed. Officials said 24-year-old Travis Lunn of O'Neill fell into the collapsing trench. The three others tried to rescue him and also became trapped in the dirt, officials said. I dont know how thimgs are going or how John Proutry is being held responsible. But he is to blame that these four men are dead. The story is whack and Travis Lunn was in that hole. He had no idea what he was doing and had no right to be there. He must have done something to make it fall in on him. He pry had no idea that it would happen because he was not trained to do that. And it took his life then four more. He was a flager not a trench digger. You have to take a test to be a flager which is standing on a road holding a sign. So to dig a trench there mst be safty issuses and proper training of which he had none. This was his first day back on the road he had been working in the shop for the last 8 months and one day on the road and he never made it home. all because he had no idea what he was doing. And three more died because of this too. I hope prouty construction will be shut down until all of there men are trained to do what there doing so no one will ever have to feel the pain of my family ever again.

whoever unhappy family is u probably dont even know the true story. travis didnt need any kind of training because he was a flagger and he was standing on the side of the trench. none of the men were in the hole because of safety issues. the 3 other men were saving travis's life so they died heroes. everyone that worked at proutys and their families felt equal.

All of there family's felt equal. The only way they were equal was with John Prouty. He gave each family $6,000 not even enough to cover the funeral. And I don't know about the other family's but he didnt call travis's wife till 3 day's after the accident. When she called him right away after she heard there was an accident and she told him to have him cal her right away when he heard something.

You really need to know what you are talking about before you say stupid things. If anything Prouty is the one responsible for not following safety protocals. He will pay eventually but either way it won't bring those men back.

Well, the accident had cost four lives means there was some basic cause which has to be investigated to save more workers like above fours. Its not blaming but find out the real root cause will help many people.

this is probably one of the dumbest comments I ve read yet. You have no clue you should really step off your information train and get into reality because your trains going to run out of track wait and see. The truth will preveil
