Unfortunately they were told to leave. I'm not sure either would have left on their own.(JL and SP). They have both done so much to build that church and school. I think they were right to hold their ground and stay while they did!

Unfortunately, I trusted PK and stood behind him when the initial wave of people left the church. I have supported him whole-heartedly from the beginning, but there is one very serious thing that now deeply troubles me... Sunday morning when PS and PJ were fired, PK made the announcement and said that they had resigned and that he had accepted their resignation. He also said how he really hated for this to happen. Well the truth is they were terminated, which is much different than resigning voluntarily.... PK didn't tell us the whole truth.... It makes me wonder what else we haven't got the whole truth about from him...

I am very saddened by this latest development. I've lost trust and confidence in PK despite supporting him faithfully for the last six months.

Been attending this church for 8 years... Never seen this much trouble.

I'm in the same boat with you, Bad. When the first batch of folks left, one of them told me that PK's not telling the truth and twisting things around was his reason for leaving. Not that I did not believe this person, but I tried to give PK the benefit of the doubt. Now I know for sure he is lying because I know from good authority that they were fired. They did not resign. That is a fact. I too wonder what lies a d half truths (if there is such a thing) have been told.

I read through this entire forum. I read statements in support of the pastor and statements against the pastor. I can understand people's viewpoints. It's hard for old members to accept a new pastor and change. When your used to certain things and all the sudden someone comes in and changes it, it's difficult to accept. Change will always be controversial. Sometimes change is great, but sometimes it is not so great. We all have opinions and ways we believe things should go. Anytime a change is made there will always be those in agreement and those in disagreement. What saddens me the most is how all these people are on here bashing one another and spreading rumors. This is not an appropriate way to discuss church matters. Yes, we do have freedom of speech, but this doesn't just look bad on Family Worship Center, the deacons church, the Church of God, etc, this looks bad on Christianity and the church in general. People and "Christians" getting on a website and gossiping and slamming others doesn't make draw me to be a Christian at all. Some of you will get on here and claimed your on here to share the truth and just because your concerned about this church. That's bull and you all know it. Many of you wonder why your family members, friends, and associates do not go to church. Duh? Why would someone want to go to church when they read things like this? This type of stuff will turn people comnpletely away from God. Sadly some of you don't even care. You will continue to get on here and slam people and churches. Anyone can go inside a church and act holy, but your true self and heart show on things like this and when you are out in public.

Another thing that saddens me is that people get on here and all they care about is there problems. Oh, they painted the childrens room, the musics to loud, etc, but yet we have people out in this world who are lost and are going through hell on a daily basis. I received a call this morning from a friend telling me that her brother in law just died from a heart attack. His family will never be able to say I love you to him again, spend time with him again, etc. How about instead of getting on here gossiping and running others down, how about we take time to spend with a family or a friend, or how about we spend time with someone who doesn't know Christ or with someone who is about to give up on life and encourage and love them. Someone right now just lost a love one, someone right now just lost their job and don't know how they are going to make it and support their family, someone right now is sitting somewhere contemplating taking their life because they fill their worth nothing, but yet we "Christians" are worried about are unimportant, little problems that mean nothing. That is what is sad. Go display Christ to someone today. I bet that Pastor Ken, Pastor Jason, Pastor Sam, the deacons, Brother Wicker, etc would rather you do that then be on here.

Yes, and two of those who lost their jobs are Pastors Lowe and Petersen! This is not just about change, it's about someone tearing apart the FWC! I don't want to bash anyone. It's just simply the truth.

I agree, Drained... I think we all just want the truth. Most FWC members don't want to destroy PK, the church, the deacons, etc. Most of us just want to know what is going on!

I, for one, am tired of being a faithful attender, member and contributer to FWC and NEVER getting my questions answered by the staff.

I find it sad that those who attend the church are discusssing matters of the church on a website instead of the church they go to. I find it interesting that you all act as if you can't get your questions answered by the pastor and yet he gave you his personal cell phone number to call him anytime you have a question. As a matter of fact, twice in his sermons. In addition anyone who would know the laws governing the Church of God organization would understand that the Pastor just can't FIRE anyone...the board must be apart of that decision and in this situation would have been the one to announce it. God is an awesome God and he loves each of us with open arms and He is here to bless us and keep us each day. The only thing He asks is that we believe in His Son and call on His name. He has performed many miracles & still wishes to do so. But there is one simple thing we can all do and that is ask for His Guidance. So instead of Not doing the biblical thing and spreading rumors, lies and your own fears go to the person you have ought against or questions about and speak to them. Have any of you went directly to Pastor Sam or Jason and asked them....that would be the easy thing to do. Instead it is much easier to spread rumors than to find out the truth.

Yes by the State Office Overseeing body that was designated when the Deacon Board was suspended.

No. Everyone who has opposed PK is now gone. So is the voice of reason, I'm afraid. There is nothing wrong with a pastor putting his people in key positions to advance his plans for the church... the problem is the way that such things were done.

I hate to say, but this will likely create another mass exodus. PK will have no one to preach to soon. So sad, he is a great and annointed preacher but a terrible leader.

So who is on the state office overseeing board? Is it the state council with members scattered all over the state who have no idea what is going on?

If you only knew how many things the state board has told him to change and he refused. He was told on more than one occasion to let Pastor Kim go. He was told to hold off on firing PS and PJ. In fact there was a meeting scheduled for today but he could not wait and had to show his power.

It sounds as if "If you only knew" had access to some of the actual facts but is Cleveland, TN and the State COG willing to see this church,FWC, go up in flames and stand back and say "well, I told PKW to do this or that". Where is the authority in this situation and where has it been for more than l 1/2 years. There is so much wrong at FWC that no blog could possibly do it justice. A lot of the bloggers have been right on target while much is just pure gossip. Maybe now all those old "hangers-on people" will finally feel the release to leave. However, I do think PS & PJ did an injustice to the people left at FWC by staying when they in actuality were not a part of PKW'S rantings and ravings. By their staying, they allowed the members to believe that everyting was ok and therefore kept many people in an unbelievable environment while they tried to make up their minds what they wanted to do. We all know the Devil knows how to uncut and squirm his way into situations and the State COG and Cleveland, TN have together allowed this to happen. They are as responsible for what is and has happened at FWC as is PKW. I ask you - WHO in their right mind could ever trust anyone alliliated with COG ever again? This church should now be called the OHIO FWC because PKW has his cronies from OHIO surrounding him and cheering him on to victory. Victory in what? "What would Jesus do?"

And I don't walk around lookin for it, you know?, but yesterday it seemed to just wander on till it found me, the gossip found me. Then why don't you just prove it. How? You don't know how to prove it?Well, what you just do is... stop, stop, stop, stop gossiping. Stop hatin' on the pastor, stop hatin on the deacons, stop hatin' on each other, Just stop hatin'!! Stop analyzin', critacizin', and justifyin'. Some of you act your doing this cause you care and that you want to reveal the truth when most of ya'll don't even know the truth. "GOSSIP" Wake up!!!! Call the church and ask for pastor Sam and see what happens. People like you are the reason for alot of this problem because you turn the other cheek instead of doing your christian right to make sure things are right in the church. Do you know anything about how this church once was before PKW? It has went way down hill since. WAKE UP

well I just called the church and asked for Pastor Sam Peterson and they said he was out to lunch so go figure what that means
