Get a calculator & figure up what percentage you pay in taxes. I'll guarantee you that it's a lot more than 13% even if you make Minimum Wage!
For one Person, no Dependents, making Minimum Wage, it's about 18% to 20%, the last time I figured it for somebody, which was about 4 years ago.

And BTW, the more you make, the higher the percentage, because it throws you into a higher Tax Bracket.

A Retired Marine mentioned this in another Post, I think on a different Thread & maybe, a different Forum. But, he was talking about the Navy SEAL who actually took Bin Laden out, who is still Active-Duty. From the Articles that I have read in the last couple of days, all that SEAL said was that, Obama didn't take out Bin Laden, the SEALS did...which is techniquely correct, but doesn't give Obama credit for ordering that getting Bin Laden was a Main Priority & ordering the SEALS to raid his House & kill him when they found out his location...two things that Bush did not do!
Here is the Story that the Teapublicans are pushing.

Sassy, TeaBaggers just don't understand the chain of command;
When the Captain of a submarine has a enemy ship in range, and give's the order, "FIRE 1", it's the torpedoman that pushes the button, but the Captain is given the credit..........or miss.

I can't make the chain of command any more simple!

You're absolutely correct! And a very good example to make your point too, I might add. A Child should be able to understand that. But, the Teapublicans are so brainwashed & in denial, who knows? They kinda live in their own little "Altered Universe" & I suspect that's been their Lifetime State of Mind.:)

They start "acting up" every so often to get us to feed their People, while they spend their money on Nukes. Pretty good little manipulation game they've got going on there, I'd say...but it's better than going to War with them, I guess.

With all the atrocities going on in Syria, we would have already been intervening if we weren't still in Iran & Afghanistan, & been at War for 10 years.
Bush was warned that going into Iraq could upset the whole Middle East Region & he ignored those warnings. But, that's exactly what's happened.
We've got Al Qaeda on the run, but they just keep running from Country to Country & we have to keep going after them, to remain safe in our own Country.
When will it ever end?

I don't know about the rest of you, but I yearn for the "Good Ole Days" prior to 2000, when we were not at War, the Economy was doing fine as far as we knew, & we could go about our daily Lives without feeling that the worst might be yet to come.
We just took it all for granted & had no idea what we were in for. Awww, just to be able to be that ignorantly blissful, again & to change some of the voting mistakes we made then, that's caused our Lives to be miserable ever since.

What's a program to trace your IP? The only thing you will find is their ISP provider.

Sassy is talking about an IP tracer. You cannot get someone's IP number off a public message board. The only way you would get it is subpoenaing Topix. Or if they send you an email directly you can get their IP number if you have the right program.

My computer has done nothing but gone crazy today, from the minute I got on Topix, which wasn't that long ago. I didnt have any problems until then. Very strange!
Does anyone but you need to know this?

Well, it looks like the decent Posters have all left. I can't say I blame them.
It's just a shame that the Teapublicans have so little to support their point of view that they have to resort to harassment & filth to run off the Democratic Posters. That, alone, should tell everybody what we're in for, if their Candidates get elected to ANY position of Authority, political or otherwise.
Teapublicans have a total lack of respect for anything or anybody, not even themselves. But then, if I behaved consistently, 24/7, the way they do, I couldn't respect myself, either.

Daily Horoscope for May 25

Gemini

Today's Full Moon, a Lunar Eclipse, will have a big impact on your relationships during the next few months, so stand by. If the cracks have been starting to show in a partnership, this could be when they turn into major fault lines that demand action. Can they be repaired or do they spell the end of the line? It may feel like a crisis but that doesn't mean it really is one, so don't over-react.
