Wow. A $100 fine NEXT TIME. What a punishment. How about revoking his probation and sending him back to jail?

"Outreach" coordinator, you can't make this stuff up. Does EMS do backround checks, does Tarrywile have a clue. How often has this guy been to the park? Another job well done by the DPD!

Former scout leader pleads guilty in sex abuse case
(Danbury-AP, Feb. 3, 2000)_ A former New Fairfield Boy Scout leader has pleaded guilty to sexual misconduct for fondling a 15-year-old boy. Last month, Siegfried Hepp, 38, had pleaded no contest to a felony charge of risk of injury to a minor under a plea agreement. Superior Court Judge Patrick Carroll, before sentencing Hepp Wednesday, said Hepp had abused his position of trust, "sullied the fine reputation of the Boy Scouts," and should be jailed on the risk of injury to a minor charge. However, even though Carroll said the case "cries out for incarceration," he agreed to a plea bargain of a seven-year suspended sentence and 20 years probation. Hepp had signed a confession to state police last April 9 in which he admitted fondling the teen while they were on a bed in Hepp's home. Hepp was the leader of New Fairfield's Boy Scout Troop 137 for 18 years until he was charged in April. Under the terms of the sentence Hepp must undergo treatment, must register as a sex offender for 10 years, must not have contact with the victim or his family, cannot have unsupervised contact with minors and cannot participate in any Boy Scout or other youth activity. |

Judged: 1 1 1 (Danbury-AP, Apr. 8, 2000)_ A former Danbury High School wrestling coach accused of exposing young boys to pornography and wrestling with them in their underwear has been arrested in New York. John Nimock was taken into custody on a fugitive warrant Friday at his mother's Rye, N.Y., home, police said. Nimock faces two charges of risk of injury to a minor when he is returned to Connecticut. The News-Times of Danbury, quoting sources it did not identify, reported Nimock was sought for showing pornographic movies to middle-school boys and other inappropriate conduct. Police declined to comment on the nature of the incidents, which took place in February and March 1999, because they involve children. The investigation began more than a year ago, when a parent overheard her child talking on the phone to Nimock and went to school officials, police said. Nimock was suspended with pay the day the complaint was made and he resigned from his coaching and teaching posts in January. Nimock taught English at Rogers Park Middle School, and coached wrestling in Danbury since 1984. He took over the high school program in 1992 and led the team to three consecutive state titles. Nimock was being held at Westchester County Jail and scheduled to appear in court Monday for an extradition hearing. |

The fine is the largest allowed for this civil violation. The state of CT is responsible for the low number. More brilliance from our democratic led legislature.

Judged: 2 2 2 Do not think that this guy should be left alone. I grew up with this dude, and when this came to light there were plenty of hurt kids. The children looked up to him as a leader, they were totally involved with earning badges and becoming true Boy Scouts. What he has done to them will always be remembered. Every time they read it and hear about it it will be all brought up. I know the facts, and they are not pretty. He was making them do certain things to earn badges...so leave him alone, hell no!! He lost his rights when he unzipped his pants. |
