Sad day for Danbury. Shame on Boughton but especially shame on the Democrats that voted yes.

It was win-win.

The agitators had an excuse to get agitated.

And the citizens got ICE.

congratulations to boughton. He had the guts to do what he believed was right for the city, and he stuck it out till the end. too many politicians are too scared to do anything in fear of not getting re-elected. This is a GREAT start to fixing this mess and a GREAT day for the future of Danbury!

Now maybe the police can pull over those illegal drivers that do NOT secure their bouncing offspring in the car and not only arrest for DWL or insurance, but for risk of injury to minors AND be deported as well. Rule breakers..whether it be rules of the road or rules concerning immigration...you break 'em, you pay the price. GO ICE!!

Congratulations to the racists and fearmongers of Danbury. You will now make undocumented immigrants who are store and restaurant owners leave town in fear, not leave the country. Thus the town will not get it's share of state sales tax, nor will it get property taxes or utility taxes. And without these people shopping in Danbury's stores, the stores and the city will suffer. Let's just go back in time to a year or two after the Mall was opened. It sure was desolate on Main St., but I guess some people consider that peaceful. Again, congratulations ignoramae!

In disgust with my neighboring town and its Mayor..

Awww go cry in your beer. We can't WAIT to get rid of you. Illegal aliens are NO ASSET to a community that they do their best to DRAG DOWN TO THEIR THIRD-WORLD LEVEL.

GET OUT of my town.

first off, there is no congrutaltions in order to the mayor or any member of the council, except to the two members who voted against it and who stood up for the voice of the people. this 287G does nothing to really address the issue of illegal immigration because it does not target business that employ illegal immigrants, all it does is allow officers to take such matters into their own hands and will most likely lead to racial profiling which is an injustice that should not even exist in this day in age. I am embarrassed to call Danbury my hometown with all of the ignorant comments made by the racists and bigots at the meeting and on this online comment forum. All of you need to see that all immigrants are vital and crucial to this American society and economy.
