I'm sure that these two clowns will get a slap on the wrist for this disgusting behavior. You have got to be one sick dude to actually consider burning people to death.

They're being held on 2 million bail... They're facing life in prison. Attempted murder with an arson attached= 25 years. and 2 million bail means this is no joke. These dudes are in some serious SH*t.96819681

What the heck is going on Hollyglen in the past few months??? This used to be a peaceful neighborhood. Criminals are running around everywhere.

Hawthorne needs TO CLOSE OFF THE 405 UNDERPASS AT 135TH STREET and keep these thugs from our neighborhood.

They will be free and back on the street before spring. They are both 18 and the courts are NOT going to do anything to them and they know it. These fine young gentlemen are just starting their careers and will likely be through the revolving door of the justice system many many times.

Somebody was up at 2:45AM, saw the character and called the police. I think the neighbors, at least one of them, are looking out. Being alert and diligent can prevent a lot of crimes from being successful. Of course, there is always one like the Harvard University prof that can mess up a good idea.

You've obviously never been to our neighborhood nor have you seen the amount of human trash that strolls over from the Wiseburn neighborhood. Keep the hoodlums out.

I'm curhious of the motivation for this horrible attempt at murder.Three times at the same place is not a random act. These jerks really wanted to kill someone. Are these two out to avenge a wrong done to them or dumb enough to think they can act as hit men for somebody else (too muck Grand Theft Auth - Hollyglen video gaming). Something in their short ignorant lives told them they could get away with this. What's the parents of these failures say? Neighbors?...C'mon DB. Let's get that follow-up story. Inquiring minds want to know!

We live in Hollyglen and know many nice people that live in the county strip. These kind of hateful comments are really uncalled for, did you even read the story? The suspects are from Dana Point and Los Angeles, not the the Wiseburn strip.

The tenant is a mortgage broker? Well look at the mess that so many mortgage brokers have caused by helping folks get those bad option ARM mortgages that they ultimately could not afford. And all the foreclosures that resulted. Lots of potential enemies there. I'm sure the cops are investigating that angle. So why are some of you are chastizing the DB for not investigating more? Like I said, that's law enforcement's job, not a newspaper reporter's.

Irregardless of where these two murders to be are from, Hawthorne has a problem of major proportions.

As already stated in previous post, keen observations at all hours of the day and night of activities in Hollyglen as well as the entire city are warranted by all. Be vigelant and report anything that looks strange to you no matter how small or unimportant that you might thinks it is.

The Police Dept. can only do so much. This is a joint effort on all parts both city and residents alike. It is already starting to pay-off. Two punks are now going up the river for a very long time. Unity-unity-unity!!! That's the name of the game.
