i have to admit that every time i hear a comment like "islamic fascist" or "muslim terrorist", etc.,i immediately conjur up an image. Lately, i wonder what i would do if i had to board a flight with ANYONE who looked even remotely Arabic. I wonder if i would just NOT GO on that flight. Quite frankly, everyone i know thinks the same thing when this is brought up. I have developed a total distaste for islam anything and dont trust it as a legitimate organization any more...to me it is like a secret mafiosa type of phony religious cult that can turn on this country and its people at any moment in time . So, YEAH, that is how the comments he makes colors my thoughts. and the worse part is, i think it is too late to do anything about it .He cant backtrack anymore in his comments as we all KNOW exactly what he really thinks and he sets the pace for the country. Where is the media when you really need it?

1 All Muslims are not terrorists but all terrorists are Muslims. What is there about that, that those people dont understand. |

Instead of stating that American moslems stand with the rest of the citizens of the USA against those whom they claim have hijacked the Religion of Peace (TM)
These idiots go on the offensive. Just more reasons to be suspicious of our friendly local moslems |

Words like that further enrage them. Imagine how we would feel if the charges were reversed, even if some were true. Words are weapons as much as swords. They hurt, kill, difficult to forget and forgive.

For all you English majors, I erred. It should read "...so if you're offended because we don't like people who base their terrorist acts on........"
Sorry about that. |

Our President often speaks from anger, it seems without careful consideration of his comments and how it is perceived. Or, maybe he does, carefully consider what he says in order to enflame. It seems that our President is out of touch with not only Americans, but also with reality. I am a Republican, a Vietnam War Veteran and a Catholic; so I am not coming from the Muslim side of this argument. We need to start focusing on the cause of these events along with focusing on how to stop them. Until we can go on the offense against the need these folks have to kill or humiliate us, we will always be on the defense. Not a good place to be!

Cause? Countries like Saudi Arabia have funded world-wide an educational system that teaches hate and promotes violence toward non believers. There is no need to be on the defensive. Groups like the Council on American-Islamic Relations need to be told to clean-up the hate mongers among them |

i just flew a month ago and i'll be flying again here in a couple months... i watched every "mid eastern" person i saw like a hawk and i will continue to do so. I DON'T CARE IF THE MUSLIMS ARE UPSET! I haven't heard about one Catholic, Jew, Jehovah Witness, Baptist, or Christian strapping a bomb to their chest or having dreams of growing up to be a suicide bomber. We, as Americans, know better than to let Catholic Priests baby-sit our kids (now) and to let Middle Eastern ppl on planes without checking them for weapons. Simple facts

The fact of the matter is we have to look at what we have.
We are not out going out on a "witch hunt", but simply using what we have. True- not all Muslims are terrorists - however, most of terrorists (most recently) have been extremists using the Muslim faith as a basis for their gutless way of promoting their fanatical idealism. What else are we to do- We are only using logic. Those who have done or plan to do terrible things have been Muslim exteremists. It only makes sense to focus on that group. Sorry but that is what we have and until the other religions start doing the same things, we will continue to look at who is doing it. |

I agree, its like when illegal immigrants are mentioned everyone assumes Mexicans, brown people. But its because most of the illegals are from Mexico. But not all Mexican people here are illegal, sometimes they're not brown and they could even be Americans. |

WELL THIS POST CERTAINLY SHOWS CLEAR VISION.....I LOVED IT! YOU ARE 100 % CORRECT IN ALL YOU SAY ..BUT THEN, WHO AM I TO SAY WHAT IS ACCURATE AND ACCEPTABLE........OH WHOOPS, I AM AN AMERICAN CITIZEN WHO IS CONCERNED WITH MY FAMILY AND SAFETY AND I COULD GIVE A RAT'S ASS WHAT THE MUSLIM COMMUNITY THINKS..I HAVE HAD IT WITH THEIR PHONEY ASS RELIGION AND I WISH THEY WERE ALL ROUNDED UP AND THROWN OUT OF THE COUNTRY AT THIS MOMENT...BUT THEN, I AM ANGRY MY LIFE IS UPSET BY A BUNCH OF FRIGGIN HOODLUMS. DUH |

What a moronic statement. Words do not kill. |

It's easy. Muslim extremeism causes these terrorists acts and ideology. Start listening in on Muslim sermons and you'll find out how to stop them. |

Are there not equally, other groups involved in terrorism and subversion throughout the world? Would it be fitting to label all brands of terrorism by using the same principle which gave birth to the term ‘Islamic terrorism’ creating a list of Sikh terrorism, Hindu terrorism, Christian terrorism, Jewish terrorism, atheist terrorism, Buddhist terrorism, Animist terrorism and pagan terrorism?
What is ‘Islamic’ terrorism, I wonder? Islam is as closely related to terrorism as light is to darkness or life is to death or peace is to war. They do come into contact with each other, of course, but from directions diametrically opposed. They are found grappling with each other but never walking hand in hand happily together. Please... is there any other confusion in your heart that i can clear up... it will be my pleasure |

Did our history begin with the curse of Cain? It is a gory tale of murder, assassination and torture in any event. So much blood has been spilled throughout history that the whole world could be painted red with it–with plenty to spare. When will man stop killing his fellow men? When will his thirst for blood ever be quenched?
Abel was the first man to be killed, by his brother, for no reason. The story of that murder has been preserved by the Quran and the Bible as a lesson to us all—it will remain as an example till the end of time. Study history, and one thing becomes clear: that man is an aggressive creature. His aggressiveness has been untamed by the growth of civilization. Man is as cruel today as he was thousands of years ago. The story of his ruthlessness, his tyranny and his aggression is long and painful. The fire of human aggression has not been quenched even after thousands of years of savagery. |

Sometimes blood was spilled in the name of honor, sometimes in the name of revenge for supposed wrongs. Sometimes angry hordes overran peaceful lands in search of food, sometimes in search of world domination. But more often the blood of man—created in God’s image—was shed in the name of his Creator. Religion was used as an excuse for mass murder. Seeing this aspect of human nature makes one wonder if mankind is not the basest and most ruthless species on earth. One expects religion to teach man to be civilized, yet religion itself drips with blood. This fact recalls the incident which took place at the time of the creation of Adamas, described by both the Quran and the Bible. The Quran says:
And when thy Lord said to the angels,‘I am about to place a vicegerent in the earth,’ they said,‘Wilt Thou place therein such as will cause disorder in it and shed blood?—and we glorify Thee with Thy praise and extol Thy holiness.’ He answered,‘I know what you know not’.(2.31) |

It is not easy to close one’s eyes to various brands of terrorism which unfortunately flourish all over the world; in fact, it is impossible for an observer not to be aware of the persecution, bloodshed and murder, often in the name of some purported ideal or noble cause. Terrorism is a global problem and needs to be studied in its larger perspective. Unless we understand the forces behind the violence, we shall not be able to understand why some Muslim groups and states are turning to terrorism to achieve certain objectives.
